The Bailiwick Free House has opened under the leadership of Steven Ellis previously of The Oxford Blue in Old Windsor with his wife Ami as head pastry chef. Nestled on the gates of The Windsor Great Park, The Bailiwick will be a gastronomic destination for locals and visitors to enjoy the very best produce that this naturally plentiful area has to offer. Steven’s training under the tutelage of Clare Smyth MBE at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay has enabled him to offer a sophisticated twist on familiar dishes.

The bailiwick inn was by far the most incredible meal and experience we have ever had we went there for our anniversary meal and they found us a table by the window that felt so special and personal every meal was fantastic even with small portions it was so filling and delicious it was definitely not like some places that charge ridiculous amounts for a pea on a plate this place was by far the most incredible place we have been to and although i probably won’t be back for a while because it’s far away from home it will always be at the top of my list if I’m ever near by a fantastic meal and some fantastic staff thank you so much for making our anniversary so special we had such a wonderful time dining here

Absolutely lovely meal, yet again and the vegan offerings were so good….don’t usually eat three courses but could not resist. Highly recommended!

First time to Bailiwick under the new ownership and we were pleasantly surprised. Ambience was back to its traditional best, service good and food enjoyed by everyone in party of 4 . We will definitely return.

Great welcome, great food and great service. Tuesday evening so fairly quiet in terms of numbers eating. Assume it is a more lively atmosphere at weekends. Enjoy the fact that you can enjoy really great food in a relaxed atmosphere

Lovely Ambience on the edge of Windsor Great Park. Dogs very welcome so ideal for walkers. Food was excellent. Lunchtime fish and chips was perfect. Attentive staff had a notified intolerance catered for with the menu amendments. Rather a long wait between sharing starter and main course but worth it. Quite pricey but very good and will go again.

Hidden gem! Lovely place with not too many tables. Original food with fantastic taste. Great service with small but brilliant wine list. Love it!
