The Avery Kitchen & Bar pays tribute to Tulsa’s rich history as the heart of Route 66. Named after Cyrus Avery, the ‘Father of Route 66,’ our menu offers a culinary journey along the Route, featuring iconic dishes and drinks from cities across America’s legendary highway.

I went with a friend to take advantage of the 918 day special. Normally I wouldn’t go downtown on a weekday just for lunch. Between finding (and having to pay for) parking, being in an overpriced restaurant, and battling the noise level, for me other options are preferable. But this gave us a chance to try Avery. The waiter, Luis, was a gem! Very professional, attentive, and helpful. The burgers were good, nothing outstanding though. I’d never pay $18 for one. The sweet potato fries were average. The coffee was delicious. The large party seated next to us, right down the middle of the dining area, we’re making our conversation necessary to be louder than normal. This would always happen the way the seating is arranged. I’m not faulting them, just saying, don’t go there thinking you’re going to be quiet or intimate. It was nice being in a booth by the window overlooking 3rd St. Outside seating is available also, looking out over the green space.

Service was extremely slow, food was ok for the price, we wanted a dessert and coffee menu and when it was time to order they only had the brownie option available and no coffee. Probably won’t be back.

They are under construction and honestly should close until all is up and running correctly. Staff was excellent, food not so good. Due to the location we will give it another try but they must step way up!

Although the main restaurant is under renovation, the meal and atmosphere was just fine. It was a business lunch and was very productive and enjoyable.

Not great. Italian beef wasn’t anything close. French onion soup was way over seasoned. Caesar salad was just okay. Ravioli were good and a large portion. Overall it’s unlikely that we will return.

The wedge salad was the best I have ever had! It was delicious with lots of blue cheese and dressing. I ordered grilled chicken with it and the chicken was really tough. My husband had the burger and it was quite good. The prices were reasonable except the pop and tea. $4.00 is ridiculous.

The view was great. The food was excellent and well priced. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Their menu is much more limited since the new ownership. And they have NO vegetable sides other than salad. The bar service, however, remains unchanged. We had our apps before the drinks arrived, even though we ordered the drinks earlier. It appears they still give priority to people at the bar, rather than diners. Bar service has always been infuriating slow. The shrimp pasta was very good, although a little over-sauced. And the drinks themselves were well-made

For a recently opened restaurant, they did not have a few menu items available and no cocktail menu (yet). I really wanted to try the invaluable items so that was a bummer, but what i ended up having was delicious so no complaints! I’ll just have to go back and try again!
