Sitting on Boise’s vibrant Main Street, Avery shines agelessly in a Parisian & New York-inspired interior in a newly renovated historic building built in the early 20th century. The Avery inspires all occasions—romantic and casual alike—fueled by the culinary creations of Michelin-starred chef, Cal Elliott. Enjoy elevated classics inspired by French techniques. A warm & moody Gastro-Tavern, Tiner's Alley, is tucked in the back for cozy after-dinner cocktails and free billiards. Turn any evening extraordinary with a finely curated list of cocktails and a French-loving, diverse wine list selected by our in-house sommelier.

To start off we sat at the bar as we waited to be seated. Bartender was top notch and knew his stuff. He kept giving us samples as he made others drinks. We were seated in a booth. Tables are so tightly laid out you have to excuse yourself with the other patrons just to get in and out of your seat. Wait staff was polite and attentive. I love good food and the price as long as it is good is not a factor. In this case the food could have been the best I ever had and I would not go back. The restaurant was full our entire meal. My wife and I are siting next to each other in the booth not across from each other, next to each other. We found our selves loudly talking in order to hear each other. I could hear conversations 3 tables a way from me. With the level of noise in this establishment I think it bordered on hearing damage. The noise made the meal untenable. We skipped desert and headed for the door.

Always a fabulous experience at The Avery. The ambiance is classy, drinks are well-crafted and the food impeccable. The duck rillette and crispy artichokes are a must!

Well thought out, and executed menu. Proper portions and everything was a culinary treasure. And definitely save room for dessert!

Great food. Unfriendly server. Served espresso in a latte cup? Love eating there. Great atmosphere.

It was difficult to choose one entre for there were many wonderful choices. I already know what I'm going to order next time. And, the dessert was scrumptious!

Excellent dinner with service to match. Artichoke appetizer and lavender Crème Brûlée were highlights. Had great martini’s and cocktails in the bar first. Highly recommend.

entre was overcooked; staff took care of the issue with a credit, no questions asked. Service was outstanding.

Honestly was excited to check out a new spot, and was disappointed with the service and quality of the food. My husband’s pork was not very well cooked, and they forgot to give him a knife so we had to wait and try to get someone’s attention. Overall service was sub par for what I expected from a high end restaurant, we repeatedly had to get people’s attention for things we needed or to order. Overall experience was kinda a bummer. Don’t think we’ll be back, disappointed

Good overall experience. Service was present, prompt, professional, and personable. The food was quite delicious and the portions were generous without feeling gluttonous. Cocktails were some of the most well-balanced and enjoyable I’ve had in Boise. The stand out part of the experience was the dessert. I cannot sing the praises of the pistachio soufflé enough. I would appreciate the dessert menu being available online as well because I would gladly come back for desserts and cocktails with friends even when we aren’t craving a full dinner experience.
