    The waiter was very professional and attentive. The wine selection was good and the ambience was engaging. The food was good but I would not say great. The Caesar salad was slightly salty and the crab cake was somewhat bland with the exception of the sauce. My nephews steak was ok but the lobster tail was soggy. Maybe just not a good night. But we did enjoy ourselves until we left and received a violation ticket for parking behind the restaurant. I assumed it was restaurant parking (my first mistake) and it was dark so instead of looking for signs that said “Pay to Park” I was looking for a “Spot to Park “ in the dark at a restaurant I’ve never visited. So now I have a $25 violation ticket to pay for parking in a lot right behind the restaurant. I saw a number of cars in the same situation so I was not the only one. I probably won’t return anytime soon because the signs were not easy to see. But I’m not ready to fight the city over an easy $25 in their pocket and out of mine. But I will alert the Ohio Attorney General because I have a feeling this lot is bring in a lot of money. The parking signs were hard to spot and a person visiting would not have expected to PAY for Parking. I consider myself a foodie because the City of Columbus and its suburbs have hundreds of restaurants so due to this experience I will bow out of this restaurant. The restaurant was nice but not memorable. I will place my review on other websites to warn people of the parking. However, the staff was AWESOME!

    We had a great evening as a family to celebrate each other and good fortune! Had a great time with wonderful food in a wonderful setting.

    The appetizers (green beans and the beef tips) we're fantastic. Loved the chimichurri on the beef tips! Main entrees were the veal Milanese and the branzino with the brown butter and lemon caper sauce. Overall the food was excellent. My only critique would be the brown butter sauce for the fish; it was mostly butter with only one or two capers in it and absolutely no lemon acidity. However the dish was still very good. Finish with the creme brulee is always a home run. Aside from the food, our only issue was that it was absolutely freezing. Despite being 50 degrees outside, we were placed below a vent that was continuously dumping cold air on the table. Wish we'd brought coats in for dinner. All in all, a great experience.

    The food and service is always excellent. Everything on the menu is top-notch! Our servers are always courteous and go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful dining experience.

    I was underwhelmed, had high expectations due to Cameron Mitchell Restaurant but food was average, my steak was not medium rare as I ordered so that was disappointing and we must have been sat by a waiter terminal as people were always talking loud right next to us. It was a birthday celebration for both my brother and I and it was just not great

    From the moment we walked in the emphasis on hospitality was evident. The food is always delicious. The Avenue is definitely one of our top favorites in the Columbus area.
