    The noise levels were mainly our group, we don't get out much! Staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful, patient. Just a slight complaint about the chips but staff sorted it and apologised. All in all, a great experience. Thank you.

    We had seen good reviews. Our experience- beer was warm (they did change it) Food - fish was nice and white but batter and chips greasy and undercooked. Pie looked bought in not homemade. Won’t be going back. It was a Monday perhaps it was the chefs day off.

    Very busy for Sunday lunch but nevertheless the service was spot on and the meal was excellent. Would definitely recommend

    As always we had a lovely meal good choice of menu I had quiche and salad with new potatoes it was very nice and would have again. Quiche was a little over baked but ate it all.

    Good Sunday menu but had to mix and match for my partner with a gluten intolerance. Two enjoyable meals however and the welcome news of an expanding gluten free menu especially with the return of the katsu curry.

    A great afternoon with family enjoying Sunday lunch. A lovely dining room looking out onto the garden where we sat later in the sunshine. Great menu choices - thoroughly enjoyed by all.

    The food was excellent and the service was ok in the main although it took a long time to get the bill and when it arrived it was incorrect, adding someone else’s drinks to our bill. I also felt that the wine was a little expensive with the minimum charge per bottle of£23

    Parents had fish & chips. 'Real', chunky chips, and a good-sized nicely battered fish. Came with small pots of mild curry sauce, mushy peas, and tartar sauce. They looked tasty, and I was told they were. I had gammon, which should have come with chunky chips, but I asked for extra veg instead. Mine also came with a grilled flat mushroom, half a grilled tomato and a fried egg, all of which was very nice. The price was reasonable and the servers were very good.

    We are regular diners at the Ash Tree but unfortunately the new allergies menu has little if anything Gluten Free. My partner always enjoyed the Katsu curry but that has been removed leaving a very limited choice.
