When you combine our ability to source the best beef in the world, cooking with an incredible natural wood fire grill, and friendly thoughtful service, an incredible quality steak is born.

This is why we offer the best USDA Prime, True Japanese Wagyu, and Black Angus Beef.

Unlike most pedestrian steak houses, Each one of our Steaks is cooked skillfully by our Grill Master over a stoked live fire with smoking white oak embers.
Our steaks are available both wet-and dry-aged and well as Bone-in, grilled to perfection our magnificent J&R Woodfire Grill.

Loved the beef stroganoff tonight. The filet was a fantastic cut and cooked perfectly. I recommend the wedge salad and the broccolini. Great meal

I had a 730 reservations. Didn't get seated until 8. Was out of popover and prime rib sandwich. Didn't get food until 9 and didn't leave restaurant until 930. Was not planning for a 2 hour dinner. Was very disappointed in the long wait for table and food.

Outstanding dinner on all levels. Every changed dish seems to be an improvement rather than change for change sake. The pork chop which was previously excellent is now the best I have had in California.

We had the pleasure of attending The Arthur J's Chappellet wine dinner last night. Everything about the evening was so well done. The chef put together a knockout menu that was executed beautifully and paired perfectly with the wines. There were so many standouts including a celeriac puree that was perfumed with tarragon. The little potato amuse bouche with the tonnato sauce was so savory and balanced. The crispy crab bite was salty, spicy, crunchy goodness. And the brown butter ice cream was a showstopper. This from a person who doesn't typically enjoy desserts. The wines were perfectly paired with each bite. Their chardonnay with gorgonzola and fig was among my favorites. Really, the chef, sommelier, and servers all put on an excellent dinner. We will definitely be joining The Arthur J for future events. Thoroughly pleasant and delicious evening.
