Food delicious, service very slow considering there weren’t many people in the restaurant! We struggled to find someone to get the dessert menu!!

The food is just wonderful, we passed out thanks to the chef both nights. The floor in the eating area needed cleaning and even in the mornings for breakfast it was dirty. My husband had to clean his chair before sitting down. There are only 2 staff and both nights we ate they had to wait on tables, take orders, payment, serve food and run the bar. Far too much for just 2 members of staff. The first night we waited over 40 mins before our meals were served and it wasn't that busy, the second night with this in mind we pre ordered before we sat for our meals and still waited for the food and had to ask a staff member if we could order drinks. More staff for the restaurant is definitely needed and blinds for the windows in the summer!

Afternoon tea The staff were friendly and the food tasty. The sandwiches were very fresh. The only minor negative was that the menu didn't list exactly the same selection of cakes as we had (the menu does state that it is subject to change) and the waitress didn't say what they were when she delivered the food. We obviously could have asked her but didn't as we have no allergy issues.

Reception was good, service was pleasant and polite. Thought the cress was unnecessary on the cakes otherwise presentation was good.

We were a table of 8 for lunch and were asked to pre-order and email in our choices which surprised us. We opted for various sandwich and chips or hamburger options. The sandwiches were fine but the side salads and chips were overly salted. The salads were all left as they weren’t nice to eat at all. There was visible rock salt on the leaves. Overall, it came to about £ 180 for 8 people to have sandwich and chips, one non alcoholic drink each and two glasses of Prosecco. The pace is nice and I’d go again for drinks, or maybe try afternoon tea, but I wouldn’t choose to eat lunch or dinner there again.

Stunning afternoon tea. Both plant based and regular options were enjoyed by our party. We ate everything! The food was fabulous as usual.

This was a birthday treat for my granddaughter's 21st birthday (which the restaurant were aware of). Although the food and service was good, I was very disappointed that no effort had been made to acknowledge her birthday. Not even a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate with a small cake on it. Nothing.
