Deerhurst’s popular summer steakhouse, The Antler, is definitely geared to the carnivore crowd. In addition to the exceptional selection of AAA Canadian steaks, this year’s dinner menu tempts with a 40 oz. Tomahawk steak or the to-die-for pan seared Japanese Kobe striploin steak. Our steak was cooked to perfection. Salads fresh and tasty. Deserts were amazing. Loved the signature cocktail. Staff was kind and attentive. Lovely experience.

My waygu steak was cooked perfectly and so were all the other steaks. Our server Jen was fantastic!

Delicious starters/mains and excellent service. The s’mores chocolate crème brûlée was not like a brûlée at all and did not taste good - would not recommend this. But the savoury food was delicious with the steak entrees coming with very generous sized sides.

Great place to go for a special occasion. The service and food was second to none. It was pricey but a great experience.

The food was very slow to come out to our table and every other table for that matter. The kids’ menu I had found online was not the same as the items available when we went. Luckily our kids ate some of the food that was offered. Our server was great. She even brought popsicles for the kids, since they had no ice cream available. The quality of the food and taste were great. The only thing that was not a good value was paying $5 each for half a cup of juice for each kid.

It took over an hour to get our meal and it all came out very overcooked and tough except for the kids meal. The one that was ordered rare to medium rare came out well done, with barely any pink — mostly just dark and grey. My son could barely cut it with his steak knife because it was so tough. I asked if they could just bring the kids food out first if it was ready and the server said she could only bring it out all together. The kids were upset and hungry. By the time the food came, I couldn’t send back the overcooked meat because the kids were too hungry and couldn’t wait another hour. I felt badly because it was my son’s birthday and he was really looking forward to going. He doesn’t like to complain, but I could tell he was so disappointed. We tried to stay upbeat though to keep his spirits up. The server seemed to not have a lot of experience, so I did feel badly, but the restaurant should really provide staff with more training. She seemed to be overwhelmed and it was very difficult to get her attention.

First time at The Antler's Steakhouse and was not disappointed. Food and service was excellent, would definitely go back. Highly recommended.
