The Anglers is a friendly and inviting pub located on the river in Walton on the Thames. A favorite with locals and visitors alike we are the perfect place to relax after a long walk or to bring the whole family including the dog for a tasty meal while overlooking the river. We have something for everyone We have a huge range of craft beers, cask ales, premium lagers, and ciders but we also have a spirit emporium packed with gins, rum, and tequila and we can’t forget our artisan cocktails and superb coffee! Our food is all about Great British classics with our Gloucester old spot sausages and mashes to our homemade steak and ale pie however you will find we offer some amazing desserts and some lighter dishes too! No matter your cravings, we know we’ve got something you will just love...

    After an excellent meal on Christmas Day, we chose this venue again for a birthday celebration and enjoyed it once more. The food and service were very good as well as excellent value, the riverside location is great and we'd recommend it to anyone.

    Disappointed! Having booked a table for 6 we arrived and got some drinks. Rather expensive but ok it location makes up for it! Went to order food to find the majority of the menu was off that day! Baring in mind we had booked for a birthday celebration. Young lad came to collect empty glasses and proceeded to empty the remaining dregs on to the floor, lemons and limes included! All in all disappointed and won’t be going back.

    Apart from one young woman, who was very helpful, the staff at the bar was unresponsive, bordering on the rude.

    Staff need retraining very vague , brought starters and one main out at same time , my partners caesers salad was forgotten about after me asking where it is a plate of baby leaf lettuce with a small egg came out on a filthy plate , I returned it for a refund showing staff description and how what they serve was plate of lettuce , no cheese , no spring onion, etc on a filthy plate then have the cheek to ask for £10 for it , I promptly got my money back for it and left , the pub itself couldn’t be in a better place right next to river Thames but staff and food was useless

    Great location and property rather let down by a food hygiene issue. Whilst one main course was fine, the other, a Caesar’s Salad was full of salad leaves that clearly had not been washed - dirt still on the stems. Service pleasant enough but they don’t tell you when you are ordering your food that cutlery can be picked up at the door. As a result when they deliver the food to your table outside, there is no cutlery with it, so they tell you to go inside and pick it up, which rather defeats the point of at table service. Would have been helpful if they had mentioned that cutlery was available at the door when food was ordered.

    Service good but all food bordering on disgusting Don’t understand why staff can’t take orders allegedly because of COVID but can deliver the food to tables My sausage and mash - frozen mash, three overcooked cheap flavourless sausages with overcooked peas, glutenous gravy with no onions and all served like a school dinner An 80th birthday dinner absolutely spoilt
