We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation nestled on the banks of the River Coquet in the tranquil hamlet of Weldon Bridge, near Morpeth, Northumberland.

The Anglers Arms has gained an enviable reputation for providing fantastic food for every occasion whether its a quick sandwich at the bar, a relaxing pub lunch with some friends or a romantic meal for a special occasion.

The Anglers Arms can provide a truly unique venue for a wedding reception or private party with meals and catering to suit all tastes and budgets. Take a look at our wedding section for more information.

We also have our own, private stretch of the River Coquet available to guests on a day ticket basis who are keen to test their angling skills on one of England’s most renowned game fishing rivers.

                                              Such a good experience. So pleased we could get smaller portions of some foods as two of us could not eat full portions. Service is good. Certainly would recommend this place as a good dining experience.

                                              Food was outstanding as it always is. The staff are friendly attentive & very polite. The starter was delicious, the main courses were served at just the right time. Great traditional pub food of the highest quality.

                                              Enjoyed our meal. The staff were very attentive and were switched on. We have used the Anglers arms many times in the past. Always is a welcome venue. Great food. Five star. Good guest ales.

                                              Outside seating area needs a good clean. They need to invest in a pressure washer to clean the floor. Food was good - better than standard pub fare but could be better. Prices fairly high for standards.

                                              Service and staff were very food. Starter was tasty and although I ordered 2 between 2 adults and 2 children, there was enough. Main meal of seabass and risotto. Rice was dry. Wife ordered Chicken and wild mushrooms sauce and was a little dry, especially the dauphinoise. Meal advertised as tenderstem brocoli but most of meal was peas. I live in the area and has been too many good reviews and excellent word of mouth, can only put this though as a bad day at the office!

                                              Didn’t have any record of our booking, and we spent 15 mins waiting for our friends to arrive only to find out they had been seated in our name all along. Two meals came cold and were returned. Pretty average overall.
