Formerly known as The Rye pub, The Angel Oak on the corner of Peckham Rye Park, is a beautiful pub with hints of old and new creating an amazing atmosphere throughout the week. With a menu filled with seasonal specials, pub classics and Sunday roasts to knock your socks off, our dining room is a must-visit for foodies around Peckham and East Dulwich.

We take pride in our huge pub garden, which is available all year round thanks to our heaters and covers. During the summer we fire up our outdoor kitchen to serve up delicious BBQ flavours and our garden bar to ensure extra hydration.

At The Angel Oak, we have Sky sports for all your Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Rugby needs making us the place to be for all those big moments. The atmosphere at the Euro’s and the World Cup at The Angel Oak is unmissable.

We had the Sunday roast, the food was fresh and full of taste. The only thing we didn't like was the gravy pre poured onto the meal and not in a boat to do ourselves. The staff were excellent, attentive and pleasant whilst not being overbearing. Pricewise the meal reasonably priced and we would definitely visit again.

Began our evening with drinks outside which was very enjoyable, always a buzzy atmosphere at this pub. We moved inside to eat in the restaurant, unfortunately the food was disappointing on this occasion. The burgers were overcooked and dry and the fish and chips was mainly batter. We had Prosecco which was a special price of £20 a bottle (on Fridays) which is amazing value. We also had the Gavi which was extremely good.

This not a restaurant. No table service. There appears to be a dining area. If we sat there, they advised us to go to the bartender to order.

We come to the Angel Oak for family gatherings, friend meet ups and with the kids for the occasional meal. It’s always great and the food is excellent-good choices for all the family (pre-teen kids and adults in our case). The front of the pub is louder with more of that atmosphere and the back and garden are calmer and more quiet. There is something for all. It’s a great pub to have locally

Nice pub, lovely staff and great garden, but £20.50 for a small beetroot and (dry) chicken salad let it down sadly.

Yet again even when full house for the football the food served was to usual high standards and bar service efficient and on point

Visited on a sunny Monday afternoon. Received a warm welcome and sat in the garden for lunch, which was delicious. My first visit, but won't be my last.

It was ok. The food was hot and served quickly but nothing amazing about it. 2 of us had fish and chips and my partner felt it was bland and fish batter not crispy (mother had that too). I had chicken Kiev - lots of chips and beans but the Kiev was rather dry and no lovely sauce coming out of it. But the food was ok, service was ok and we were the only ones in the restaurant so ambience was rather dull. But there we go. Think we need to try out other local places.
