Formerly known as The Rye pub, The Angel Oak on the corner of Peckham Rye Park, is a beautiful pub with hints of old and new creating an amazing atmosphere throughout the week. With a menu filled with seasonal specials, pub classics and Sunday roasts to knock your socks off, our dining room is a must-visit for foodies around Peckham and East Dulwich.

We take pride in our huge pub garden, which is available all year round thanks to our heaters and covers. During the summer we fire up our outdoor kitchen to serve up delicious BBQ flavours and our garden bar to ensure extra hydration.

At The Angel Oak, we have Sky sports for all your Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Rugby needs making us the place to be for all those big moments. The atmosphere at the Euro’s and the World Cup at The Angel Oak is unmissable.

Welcomed as we went in, shown to table ….which was besid3va very hot radiator. Asked server if we could move, which was fine. Served quickly and efficient. Meal served after 10/15 mins…hot plates, hot food and very tasty. A very nice Sunday roast in a nice friendly pub..

Always a great experience, lovely helpful staff and such a banging atmosphere! Food is 10/10, perfect place for a roast or just nibbles.

I went for Christmas lunch with a friend and the food was disappointing and not to the usual standard of their pub roasts and meals. My starter (crab crumpet) was OK but the main was below par. Not a great selection of vegetables and cauli cheese would have been nice. Whilst there was a generous saving of roast spuds, they were quite stodgy in texture. 3 carrots and lots of Brussels. One small pig in blanket and a tiny portion of stuffing. For the price I don't think this was worth it which is a real shame. Service and ambience was good though.

Pre booked table was ready on time, it was only on arrival that we were informed our table was only available for 1.5 hours! It turns out, despite us being very quick to order both drinks and meal together, that was not enough time to enjoy a leisurely Sunday lunch.. Service was friendly and efficient and delivery of drinks and meal did not take long but despite this we were almost ushered out of the restaurant. We were reminded several times our table was booked 1.5 hrs after we sat down and offered another table if we wished to remain. We were wondering why the open table could not be used for the next diners and why we had to rush away. The food was cooked really well although will ask for gravy in a jug next time as the plate was swimming in the gravy. I know some people like their roast dinners like this but it's not everyone's taste. Overall I think I would go back.

Food was tasty, the higher end of pub food. Service was good, staff were friendly and attentive, could have been slightly quicker. We were there over lunch and the place was busy with a nice atmosphere. The noise level increased as it got busier but wasn't overwhelming. Overall a nice lunch! Thank you.

Inside is completely different to how it appears outside (to me at least). Nice interior, ambiance. Good food. Will visit again for sure.

I love this pub so much, I always take my family here when they come and visit! Service was great, lovely staff, food was good too!

Was great but discovered they don’t accept cash payment card only transactions which I strongly don’t agree with and after many visits will now not be booking again. Cash is legal tender and should be accepted
