The anchor room is a beautiful venue with fantastic views from the bar and dining room. Outside dining which would have been fantastic was not available due to rain. The service and ambience were great! The drinks were innovative and tasty! My fiancée and I both ordered the sole stuffed with crab, scallops and shrimp. Sounds amazing but it wasn’t!! The sole was fresh and tender but the bread stuffing was bread stuffing! No taste of seafood whatsoever. No bits of seafood to be found! So disappointing!! We would not recommend this entry. There were many other amazing sounding entrees but can’t vouch for the taste!!

Josh, our server, was wonderful. He was efficient and friendly, non-rushing, service with a smile. Food was delicious and well presented. The room was so cold I had goosebumps, if we weren't parked so far I would have run for my sweater. Parties of two tend to get tables stuck in the middle or against the wall. We had hoped for a window table as requested but understand there's only so much window space!

Love the Anchor Room. A lovely place where every seat has a view of the ocean. Service was excellent and the food was delicious.

The service was slow. The clams and linguini was bland, rubbery clams, flavorless sauce, dry pasta. Said something to waitress, she said another table complained also. She told us she told her manager and the chef was informed. No manager came to the table. I did not eat the meal after telling the waitress twice it was not good. No alternative was offered and then was given the bill including the dish. Hard pass on this restaurant on future visits to Narragansett.

The view of the ocean was spectacular. The food was delicious, particularly the special - seafood pasta. And the server was efficient, delightful, a lovely person, and we will ask to sit in her section going forward.

For many, many years, the Coast Guard House has provided outstanding food and service, and our visit on Sunday was on par, if not better! We loved both appetizers, the octopus and ceviche, and our swordfish and filet entrees were fantastic. But even better than the food was the service from the bar staff -- very congenial, professional and accommodating. They make every guest feel welcome and important.
