You'll find us nestled snugly right on Seatown Beach, hidden along one of the many coves that litter Dorset's famous Jurassic coastline. Once a smugglers haunt, the pub now serves a seasonal menu with a focus on seafood and fresh local produce.

Complete with wood fires and Palmers award winning ales, the pub is the perfect location to refuel after a day on the coastal path or for a special evening meal with friends or family.

Booking process was simple. Basically no parking available at pub and unless you are prepared to risk parking on double yellows you are forced to pay £8 to use the adjacent car park!! If you ask you are given voucher for £2 off your meal. Did come as a shock. Taken straight to table, given menus and ordered drinks and then were basically forgotten by the (Australian) waitress. Next we saw of her was her bringing in another couple to the adjacent table and taking their drinks and food orders! It took dirty look to the barman to get her to our table where she took our order. Food was good, however very pricey even before adding on the parking "tax". In all honesty it was a disappointing meal overall. Would we go back? Sadly no. There are many other places available locally with free parking, attentive service and good food. Perhaps a warning should be placed on the website regarding parking...

Four of us visited lunch time and enjoyed the experience, One member disappointed with the haddock dish but chef good enough not to charge for the meal. Other fish and chips, Caesar salad and ploughmans all excellent and service was good - no doubt we shall visit again.

Delicious good restaurant level food, very well presented. Recommend the cod and sea trout with well cooked and seasoned vegetables. Tiramisu for my taste needed more coffee and alcohol, but nevertheless enjoyed. Rhubarb and vanilla custard dessert tasty and innovative. Perfect setting, ambience and service. Thank you!

The food was delicious and the service attentive but not intrusive. We have eaten here many times over the years and will be back. The noise levels were not the fault of the pub, but related to 4 customers who shouted at each other throughout their meal, seemingly unaware that they were having an impact on other people.

A fantastic evening with friends. Service was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Lovely food and a comfortable warm pub. Plenty of space not cramped like a lot of pubs. Very special.

Very limited parking - FYI - alternative £8 fixed price till 4pm. Staff were outstanding!! Service was timely and efficient. Food was very good. Prices for beverages and food really on the cusp for the quality. That said, value for money is an individual judgement. Loved the optional 50p local food bank donation, a wonderful initiative.
