Drinks were well prepared, different enough to be spectacular. Steak was fantastic including the amazing Chimichurri. Affogato was out of this world; if you like pistachio gelato, ask for that instead of vanilla. The wait staff was excellent and very friendly. They made recommendations including accommodating special requests. One of the best dining experiences in San Diego.

Acoustics are terrible, very noisy. Branzino was excellent, meat was not so good even though its a steak house. Our waiter was really good.

Food was good.. Service waitresses was very nice; however the food took a long time. The staff was very un organized. We had to ask several times for plates to be removed, brought appetizers without plates. I can go on forever. They need to get sound absorbing panels asap. You can not hold a conversation inside.

I had the chicken parm sandwich for lunch. Beautiful presentation. It looked delicious, But unfortunately the chicken was overcooked and very dry. The service was top notch. I will likely give this restaurant another try.

Overall, it was ok. The food was good but really for the price--comparable restaurants have tastier food for the same price...or less. A few items lead to this: 1. They have a "happy hour" but it's only available from the bar, meaning you have to go to the bar yourself to get the happy hour price. Wife wanted a "happy hour" drink and some bread, so to save a few dollars on each, we had to leave our table to get it. I've been at other restaurants that did not make the customers go through the hoops to get service. 2. Yes, bread is extra...not something that comes with the meal. Everything is Ala-carte. Unlike some better restaurants, the portions here were single sized. You could share but the quantity would be light. 3. Located in a mall where parking is free for up to 2 hours. This restaurant does not validate, so having a long leisurely dinner can come with a $3 charge. Would rather dine elsewhere and give my money to a valet for that. 4. The flavor of the food was good but not at the price point. The steak I had could be bought and grilled for half the price. I could have gotten bernaise sauce or the like, but they charge for that, too. 5. You may have noticed a pattern in this. This restaurant will nickel and dime for every cent they can extract from you for a less-than average "upscale" experience. In the end, my wife and I would not go out of our way to visit again. 6. Worth mentioning though I don't personally have issues with this. In the reservation, I noted we were celebrating a birthday. There was no mention whatsoever by the staff. No recognition. We didn't get a free dessert. We did spend close to $300 on dinner for 2 that consisted of: 2 drinks 1 "side" of bread 2 appetizers 1 side of fries 1 ribeye steak 1 lobster pasta dish (wife reports it was "stinky" but the pasta was good) 1 dessert 2 after-dinner coffees (the cappucino featured burnt coffee beans) No birthday wish

An amazing dining experience. The cherry wood adds a flavor so unique. The Milamessi is very different and outstanding in flavors. The Branzino was fantastic and the best way to have it prepared is the fire roasted. The honey pizza was a surprise treat as well as the oven roasted cheese cake. Service was impeccable with my water never going lower than half empty. Our server Ron was professional and pleasant with a wonderful narrative of the menu. Management, namely Matt, was the bastion of professionalism and courtesy. A great place to celebrate or just enjoy others company.
