    Wonderful visit. The food was great and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The decor was also very fun and interesting.

    It was the first time there for 7 of others....atmosphere is eclectic.... service was excellent...food was VERY good. We will definitely be going back. A very enjoyable experience.

    Great quiet place west of Collingwood along Highway 26. The Alphorn is a Swiss-cuisine restaurant and has a specialized menu (limited choices). For dinner, the restaurant comes with free bread in the shape of an onion! I highly recommend their Schnitzels and suggest you also buy the optional mushroom cream sauce that comes with the dish (the sauce as an extra is a bit pricey at +4.75$ as of 2024 but worth it if you personally find Schnitzels to be relatively bland) The beef stroganoff was also delicious and their flavours reminded of Chinese beef stir fry haha! My family and I come to this restaurant once every couple years when we head up north from Toronto and the ambiance and wall decorations (various sports gear, diverse bill currencies) never disappoint!

    Not at all what we expected. As a German family we were bitterly disappointed by the quality of the food. Everything tasted and looked like it was "day old" food reheated in the microwave. Awful.

    Our family of 11 dined here for my husband's birthday. Everyone loved the food. Very authentic and tasty. Even the four children in our party filled up on the children's menu. Its nice to go somewhere that is not a chain and has hearty, delicious homemade food. Our waitress was awesome. Everything came out in a timely manner and was piping hot. Would highly recommend.

    Within minutes of sitting down, we were asked if we had decided what to eat. I asked if we could have a drink first and they brought menus. I got the impression I was taking too long to decide on a beer as the waiter hovered over us. I asked if he could give us a few minutes to decide. He left but returned soon to ask again. The food was good. I had barely finished my last bite when we were presented with the bill. This was a special occasion for us. We had always enjoyed the restaurant, but this time we were rushed and felt we had to eat and drink and get out as soon as possible. Probably won’t be back. Sincerely, Dan Orvis
