The Allis is a public outlet located on the ground floor of Soho House Chicago set in a relaxed and welcoming social space for group dining, meetings and date nights. Serving modern European dishes drawing inspiration from British Brasseries along with classic and seasonal cocktails.

On Fridays and Saturdays from 2pm to 4.30pm, we offer an elevated afternoon tea experience. Enjoy tea and Champagne paired with pastries and savory bites. Afternoon Tea is only available to book through the experience.

The Allis Bar is named after the family that commissioned the restaurant's historic building in 1907 and also features bar and patio seating.

    The Allis tea service is back, we are bringing an elevated High Tea to experience Soho House Chicago. Sip hot tea and bubbles paired with homemade pastries and savory bites. Limited reservations open to the public Friday thru Sunday. Please note any allergies or dietary restrictions, not all allergies can be accommodated.                                                                 The atmosphere was beautiful and quaint, the chairs were comfortable, and the food was delicious. My mom and I came here for brunch on a weekday and there was no need to make a reservation. The only downside was the restaurant recently discontinued their fresh juice menu; however, they still offer smoothies.

                                                                Service is hit or miss, regardless it’s usually slow. In my most recent experience, the hostess and service persons failed to explain that the entire table has to participate in afternoon tea and erroneously communicated that a part of our group could do just brunch and the other could do afternoon tea. Tea service is just Rishi tea bags, not loose leaf tea.

                                                                Me and my friends came to try their Afternoon tea party. The restaurant is nice and the staff is helpful. But for $63/person ($83 with tax and tips), the amount and quality of the mini pastries and the presentation of the experience overall are not justified for the price. I would come again to chill/work/brunch here but not for the afternoon tea party.

                                                                The Allis is my favorite place to work and hold business meetings. The food is always good, the service always friendly, and the overall ambiance is chic yet comfortable.

                                                                It was nice but extremely expensive for the quality of the desserts and tea. The waitress was nice but very slow service and desserts for $165 is astronomical! Place was enjoyable. I would never suggest somebody spend that kind of money for that quality of food.

                                                                Food was good, but the service was shockingly bad. Our drinks came after the food. One person’s meal came 15 minutes after the other 5 people’s without a heads up. So our food was getting cold and we were worried they forgot about the last plate. The hostess was clearly annoyed doing her job and the server was friendly but not attentive. Disappointing because the food was good and the space is stunning.
