My wife and I have had dinner here many times before, but last night we brought two friends who were there for the first time. They were extremely impressed, and we all concluded we’d had one of the better dining experiences of the past year. Everything was first rate, from cocktails through dessert. Two of us had the striped bass and agreed that it was superlative with the lobster tortellini. My wife had a delicious rack of lamb, perfectly cooked, and the fourth member of our party enjoyed the short ribs. As for the desserts, we split a couple of them; do not miss the butterscotch and Honeycrisp apple bread pudding.

The scallops entree was wonderful. So were the soup and the goat cheese onion tart. Great dining experience. Expensive, but worth it.

Awfully well prepared in a lovely setting and served by excellent staff who understood the preparation and did an excellent job explaining it. The short rib was delicious the tuna tartare just great. The drinks were wonderful, good choice of wine and a fantastic dessert made for a wonderful evening.

Alcove never disappoints! Our group of five ordered five different entrees, two different appeisers, and one dessert. All were definitely *rave worthy* and thoroughly enjoyed, So was the bottle of wine. Service was leisurely but not slow, and we could converse without shouting, What more can you ask for? Kudos to Cheft Romero and the skilled, attentive starr once again!

Had a lovely dinner - excellent food and service; Alcove has nice quiet vibe which makes it easy to enjoy dinner with guests.

3% surcharge for credit cards? How the hell else am i to pay for a $500 meal? (I can only imagine the reaction if i'd tried to pay with a personal check.) I realize the credit card companies are thieves but, sorry restaurant, that's your cost. It's not one to pass on to the customer. Skimpy poor on the wife's aperol spritz. C'mon guys. A half fulll glass? Your competitors pour to within a half inch of the rim, and, even so, there's still not enough kick in there to enliven the spirits of a monkey. My guess would be that my wife got the last of the bottle of Prosecco and the bartender was chary of opening another one. Relatively quiet restaurant though, and those are few and far between these days, so a good place to take ancestors. A traditional menu with the dishes cooked as they should be. I'll go back, but I'll bring widgets to trade with instead of credit cards and avoid the surcharge.

Hi Chris, Thank you for your kind review regarding the meal itself, we're happy to hear you enjoyed the food. We've reported your feedback around your wife's cocktail to ensure our bartending team is meeting the standard pour. We did want to communicate further on our credit card surcharge, as this is a fee that, as you noted, has been added by our point of sale vendor. While we regret that this is the reality of running a business in 2024, we feel that by clearly communicating the surcharge, we are being as transparent as possible. Most other spots will simply add the extra cost onto menu items to cover the climbing expenses. We try to offer our customers an alternative by solely charging those who utilize our point of sale system (by paying with card). Thanks for understanding!

Delicious food. Very good service. Intimate and pleasant atmosphere. FYI - $45-60 for an entrée. I had the pork loin, and my wife had the steak. We had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. We enjoyed it all!
