The service was good, the food was bland and overpriced. The setting in the Yosemite Valley was stunning.

Wonderful service...thank you Lucy snd Vanessa! Beautiful ambiance, even with the construction outside. Food was good, even though it was a small Buffett, all the items were what to be expected.

Terrible. Food, service, the whole experience. Buffet only. Nothing was evenly remotely hot. Food was just not good. Our server disappeared after bringing us soup and refreshments. Literally went to the hostess to ask for our bill after waiting almost thirty minutes after finishing our meals. No drink refreshments, including water refills. We don’t recommend dining here.

Fabulous setting, attentive staff, but the overall experience is quite a sad commentary on the times. Overpriced food in a cafeteria setting. The prime rib was delicious but the few other offerings were overcooked & meager. And now there is only valet parking so you must pay an extra 10-15 dollars for the experience. The National Parks should be an experience available to everyone, not just those with money.

I came with low expectations based on other reviews, and appreciated that. The Ahwahnee kitchen is undergoing a major, overdue remodel. Our server said it was essentially gutted. They decided to go ahead and keep the restaurant open with a temporary kitchen. The food is not good—think wedding banquet if you were at the end of the line so the lettuce is wilted and the cream sauces have congealed. But the dining room is gorgeous and historic, so I was still glad to have the option to enjoy it. Once the remodel is done and the kitchen reopens, I am sure it will be restored to its former glory.

I understand they are going through a renovation, however the buffet seems like a money grab. Over $60 for cold food. Some of it was decent. The prime rib and mac and cheese would have been good if warm. The shrimp would have also been good but was too salty to eat. Many other items including the dessert was inedible. The cupcakes tasted like they were made last Halloween. Worse than the food is how many tables they have crammed in the space to scam as many visitors as possible. We were seated in the napkin area with the staff which was by the window overlooking the construction trailers. A very poor experience. They can't help making adjustments due to the renovation but they could do a better job than they are doing.

There was no heat in our room. The maintenance guy couldn't fix it. We were moved to another room - same thing - no heat. Our room temperature was 69 the entire night . I had the cover my wife with bath robes and jackets to keep her warm. We checked out 9am without a shower. Dinner buffet was very expensive - food was good but was cold when we started to eat. Our room coffee maker didn't work. We departed without having breakfast. Totally disappointed!!!

Buffet offered great choices, even many desserts. Prime rib was medium rare, just the way I prefer; side dishes were luke warm. Soup excellent. Staff friendly and professional.

We were so looking forward to our return to this wonderful Hotel. We understand that renovations take time especially with old buildings and accommodations need to be made. The dinner was extremely disappointing. All the food was cold, which was good for the salad but Cold prime rib, cold vegetables, etc.?? Desert was very average. Ice cream would have been better. Nice piano music.
