We’re a small and energetic restaurant on the corner of Adelaide and Water St. in the heart of downtown St. John’s. We carry a wide selection of East Coast Oysters and our menu focuses on seafood + fun, vibrant small plates. We have a rotating selection of local craft beer and wines and an ever evolving cocktail list. Some call us loud, but we prefer lively! TripAdvisor's 'Certificate of Excellence', "Where to Eat in Canada" x 4, and voted St. John's Top Seafood restaurant!

Our reservation policy has changed in order to support the best possible customer experience. We take 5pm reservations for seating's of 2-4 people, and two larger groups of 5+ Sunday through Saturday. We accept walk-ins and keep a wait list each night, so if we cannot accommodate your desired booking time after 5pm, you are welcome to come down and see us!

Went with a group and was glad we had an early time (5:00) when the noise level was lower and we could hear each other. Otherwise great cocktails, oysters and food!

Fabulous!! This was our 1st time at Adelaide Oyster House and it did not disappoint. Very friendly, great service and the food was amazing! There was a beautiful aroma when we entered the restaurant. We had some oysters which came from various provinces, NS, PE and NL, with different sauces and tried 4 of their appetizers…pork belly dumplings, beet salad, Korean chicken and spicy tuna. All were delicious. Service was great! Looking forward to the next time!

Visiting St. John's and tried the Adelaide Oyster House on Tuesday night. Liked it so much we came back two nights later. Personally, I love places that have small plates so you can try a variety of dishes. Everything we had, including the cocktails, was unique and delicious. Our favourite was the Korean Fried Chicken, followed closely by the Pulled Pork Dumplings. Tacos, and yellowfin tuna on crispy rice were also outstanding. My partner loved his oysters (I don't do those). All of the wait staff were attentive, knowledgeable and super friendly. Inside the restaurant gets extremely noisy after 7:30. If that bothers you, I recommend going earlier or sitting on the patio if you can. Definitely the highlight restaurant of our week in St. John's.

Cauliflower I believe was a 8.3 and pork belly dumplings were an 8.6. Scores were adjusted after rookie scores were given, we won't knock her for that tho eh.. Overall, solid. Wasn't that loud this time bys, good job there. Company was great. No complaints, would do it again fr

Absolutely amazing place! Food was soooo good! Best oysters I’ve ever had and the service and atmosphere top notch… it is a smaller place so make sure to book a reservation but if you have an open palette and like oysters you have to try it out! Sooo good!
