The set menu was reasonably priced and very spectacular. They were able to make adjustments for the one celiac in our party.

The price fixe menu was great- the food was complex in both flavors and textures, and it's clear the restaurant takes deep pride in using every part of every locally sourced plant. There were a lot of really innovative ways of using and cooking plants, and I'm really happy I got to try out this restaurant while I was in town- I hope more restaurants take their lead and try to go zero-waste. I enjoyed that the wine list, too, had mostly wines from BC. It was great to visit here to have an understanding of the area and how it tastes! The staff were excellent, as well- knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions, and just very kind! Thank you for such a pleasant experience here.

Great food, except when they substituted a mushroom gravy dish for vegans, instead of giving us the radichio salad. The radichio salad could’ve been made vegan by leaving the blue cheese off. It was disappointing to eat bread, soaked gravy and to have it passed off as equivalent to the radichio salad Ruined an otherwise perfectly good tasty meal. My suggestion would be to ask the customer if the substitution suits them instead of just forcing us to have it.

Certainly one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city! We loved the ambience and decor when we first walked in. Service throughout was efficient and attentive. The food was quite good, though not perfect. We felt most of the dishes in the tasting menu were tasty, inventive, and attractively presented, but a couple of dishes were over-poweringly one-note. One dish was over-vinegary, and one was over-bitter (the radicchio salad). Perhaps the chef tasted these dishes in small amounts, but as a whole, they were too much one-thing and the other flavour elements of the dishes couldn't be noticed. But all the other courses were delightful, especially the cheese croquettes and the harvest carrot party. Overall, we would probably come back. Thanks!

My love for this restaurant is such that I excitedly look forward to it for several days before I go, and when I have reached the dessert course of my dinner there, I feel genuinely sad. Great food, great service, lovely ambiance. I would go every week if I could afford it.

This was only our second time going to Acorn once, and although my partner and I are carnivores through and through, and once again we were so impressed by the food! We have enjoyed the Vegan tasting menu previously and last night we had the Vegetarian 'Everything But The Bird' dinner, and both were spectacular. To be able to create such delicious, inventive and approachable food with the limitation of vegan and vegetarian cuisine is so impressive! The only thing as good as the food is the service! We love the fact that our table is 'touched' by so many employees, not just our wonderful waitress (from NZ, lovely!) but host staff, bartenders, etc. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, funny and they were knowledgable about every bite we had to eat and drink. Can't wait to come back, and thanks again for another wonderful experience!
