The 1867 is the renowned licensed eatery, for a treat, located at Heart of The Shires Shopping Village on the A5, just north of Weedon, in the beautiful county of Northamptonshire.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside in the centre of England with lots of lovely boutique shops too!

We have many guests who conveniently meet here at the 1867 with friends, family and business associates from all over the country and indeed abroad.

Well behave dogs are very welcome with water and treats on arrival.

We are open from 9.30am for breakfast, every day, including bank holidays ( with exception to Christmas Day and Boxing Day ).

Our popular Afternoon Tea offering is available from 2pm until 5pm – please pre-book with any specific dietary requirements.

Our crew genuinely want you to leave our eatery ‘feeling better than you came in’ and we will do our upmost to make this happen.

Last orders at 3.30pm for food.

I was given a voucher for afternoon tea for my 60th Birthday last year. Went with hubby this week and having never been before was very happy with our visit. The afternoon tea was excellent, best we have had. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even had a balloon on our table for my birthday. On our way out I was given a card and a small bottle of fizz. A lovely touch to a great afternoon out. Will be back.

Booked a table for my friends birthday. When we arrived there was a balloon on the table for her which was lovely. We ordered Breakfast as we were too early for the lunch menu. The portion sizes were very good for the price and it was nice that you could choose what egg you preferred and have things added or taken off your plate if you wanted to. My only criticism was that the smashed Avacado had just a little too much lemon juice in it for my taste but it was still delicious. When we went to pay at the end my friend was given a mini bottle of prosecco and a birthday card hand signed by all the staff which was a really nice gesture.

Unfortunately, there was only one serving of the two menu item ordered. Also wine choice was unavailable. Acceptable if the restaurant was closing in the next 30 mins but it was 2 hours before closing. Also the Scotch Egg ordered was way past its best, probably being the last portion available. At table service was OK but at till and initial greet entering the place was very good. Credit to the lady there. Needs improvement in the food area for a recommendation.

Location great for a meet up. Food on the expensive side for what you get. £4.95 for a tea cake! Service pleasant but a little ‘ in your face’ for me! We were asked three times for our order when we had just sat down. This looked to be the case for other diners too. Surely people don’t sit down and decide straight away. Dining is a social occasion. While I get the need for time limits at a table it is not welcoming to be told when you need to vacate the table. Sets an unfortunate tone. We meet here for good location and chilled shopping. Eating experience is so so. Would recommend with reservation for cost/service approach

Very pleasant lunchtime visit. Bit of a wait for the food, but they were busy and did apologise. It was fresh and nicely presented. Enjoyed the visit very much.
