The 1867 is the renowned licensed eatery, for a treat, located at Heart of The Shires Shopping Village on the A5, just north of Weedon, in the beautiful county of Northamptonshire.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside in the centre of England with lots of lovely boutique shops too!

We have many guests who conveniently meet here at the 1867 with friends, family and business associates from all over the country and indeed abroad.

Well behave dogs are very welcome with water and treats on arrival.

We are open from 9.30am for breakfast, every day, including bank holidays ( with exception to Christmas Day and Boxing Day ).

Our popular Afternoon Tea offering is available from 2pm until 5pm – please pre-book with any specific dietary requirements.

Our crew genuinely want you to leave our eatery ‘feeling better than you came in’ and we will do our upmost to make this happen.

Last orders at 3.30pm for food.

    Lovely setting. Good was well presented with good portion size. Well stafffed. Efficient and polite service.

    Location great for a meet up. Food on the expensive side for what you get. £4.95 for a tea cake! Service pleasant but a little ‘ in your face’ for me! We were asked three times for our order when we had just sat down. This looked to be the case for other diners too. Surely people don’t sit down and decide straight away. Dining is a social occasion. While I get the need for time limits at a table it is not welcoming to be told when you need to vacate the table. Sets an unfortunate tone. We meet here for good location and chilled shopping. Eating experience is so so. Would recommend with reservation for cost/service approach

    Very pleasant lunchtime visit. Bit of a wait for the food, but they were busy and did apologise. It was fresh and nicely presented. Enjoyed the visit very much.

    Lovely place for brunch. The food and service were great and they even added little extra touches as we were there for a birthday. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

    Had our 2nd wedding anniversary there, had balloons at the table and even had a drink of Prosecco and beer to leave with us. Staff were lovely and the cheese ploughman’s was to die for!! Will be coming back for sure

    Great service, always helpful staff. It was too noisy in the main room, so they were able to seat us in the ‘quiet room’. I always find it safer to book in advance as it is very popular. Good food.

    Visited the 1867 Cafe for the first time last Sunday (09/06/2024), for brunch. The service was great with polite friendly and efficient staff, and the food was lovely and tasty. I had the breakfast stack which was delicious, and the poached egg was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning.
