Born & raised in southern Thailand, Piya inherited the Thai focus on food - to Thais even being a little hungry is considered an emergency! Piya travelled extensively in Thailand learning regional specialities as she went, before taking her skills to England, where she extended her repertoire to include the best of European cooking. Here she met her husband James, before they both moved to the USA in 2008, for what was supposed be just be a couple of years..

I would say this was one of the worst, if not "the worst" experience ever! Went to Thaiverse affter readinf awesome reviews, and it was a horrible experience - The place itself is like in a old beat up house with 0 ambience. They have put small tables everywhere and anywhere one can fit. Their prices are no less than one you might find in DC downtown, on very expensive end for what they offer! There were a few people serving food and it took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. We ordered drink, appitizers and placed orer for our entree at the same time. Drink came out in about 5 minutes, and appetizer (spring rolls) took about 15 (after a reminder).. All good so far, although spring rolls shouldn't have taken 15 minutes to come out. Entree didn't come for about 40 minutes so asked the server - It came out in a few minutes - COLD! Didn't go there to eat cold food, or microwave heated food either. Anyhow the server insisted it was hot, until we had to literally ask him to feel the temp. He microwaved it. Food was at best bland - even though we had asked for their highest spce level - "scary" ! They don't serve any hot sauces/chilie powder like every other Thai restuarant! By now, we just wanted to eat and leave! To make matters worse there was a long hair in my entree. The server said - 1. Everybody is wearing a cap (lie - no one was) 2. The chef has very short hair! Oh my god - he was trying to justify that it wasn't anyone's hair from restaurant. It was kind of frustratingly funny. Needless to say I sent the entree back and didn't eat anything else. Never will we go back, even if they paid me to!

This was our first time here and last. Overall food was good but the service was horrible. Ordered blanket shrimp as an appetizer and it never came. Told our waiter 2 different times and another waiter and still nothing. My dinner came out but my husband’s fried rice didn’t come out of the kitchen for another 10 minutes. Service was extremely slow. Hour and a half of my life I can’t get back!

Unique Thai culinary experience. Chef Piya is wonderful and makes dishes from fresh ingredients, sauces from scratch and creates an elegant taste different from your average Thai restaurant. Topping it off with the English toffee pudding or mango cake seals the deal! Highly recommended restaurant!

We love this place! We have been going for years and the food quality is excellent! We also like the owner and service! Best Thai in the area!

This is our favorite Thai restaurant in NOVA! Pia is the owner/chef at this location and she is being fantastic! She even cooks for my husbands service dog 🥰. I highly recommend this restaurant, even it’s if a long drive for you.

Delicious food, charming hosts/service and lovely setting. Drunken noodles with shrimp and orange chicken with crab Rangoon was yummy and quickly served.

Staff was v helpful in adjusting to put us in a quiet spot when one of us was unable to go up a couple of interior stairs to the table we’d requested. Wait staff was terrific. Food excellent. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
