I dined at the Texas de Brazil in Detroit years ago. I enjoyed the whole experience. When the restaurant in Ann Arbor opened, I was excited to visit. I made a reservation for my wife and I. She looked forward to the evening. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Our server introduced herself, took our drink order, and explained the dining process. I cannot help but compare this location to the one in Detroit. The salad bar was good, but not excellent. There weren't enough items to make a salad or a crudite plate. The gauchos made the rounds with a large variety of meats. Selecting proved difficult because most seemed to be served medium rare. Some of the selections were too salty for my taste. We both sampled several selections and were left disappointed. The cost of the evening did not balance with the enjoyment of our meal.

The selection of meats was amazing and delicious! Figure about $60 per person plus tax and tip, not including any drinks. For all you can eat, it may seem a bit steep, but if you like variety, it's really good and worth a treat, every now and then. There's a complete cold bar with all sorts of vegetables, salad, olives, prosciutto, smoked salmon, and much more. The lobster bisque is one of my favorites from Texas de Brazil. There are other unlimited sides that come to the table to accompany the dinner, like mashed potatoes, Brazilian cheese bread, and caramelized plantains. Waitstaff were attentive and the guys bringing the meat around were really very nice, service with a smile. There's a separate bar area that's aesthetically pleasing...nice to stop by for a few drinks. I wonder if they have any sort of Happy Hour. I would recommend checking this place out for a meal, if you've never been to one before.

We have come monthly for a long time, previously to the Detroit location, and then Ann Arbor. Our last two visits have been horrible. Both times, the servers only came to the table to 1-2 times to check, and we waited 20+ minutes for drink refills. We asked numerous times for medium cooked cuts and never got them. It was a very disappointing experience for the second time in a row.

I went there w/ VIP and my birthday discount and because I had VIP. They wouldn’t allow me birthday or gift cards. The salad bar was not close to what I have seen in 4-6 other facilities you have that I have visited in the past Service was below your standard. Took 15-20 mins to get water. Then another 10 mins to get plantain and mashed potatoes Meats were scarce and not many of them. They kept bring around Parmesan chicken, sausage and other meats that wasn’t what I was asking for Just not happy with the Ann Arbor experience
