Terra Mare Restaurant is situated in the Guyana Marriott Hotel right off the Kingston Seawall and near the phenomenal Umana Yana. It offers unique fine dining experience with luxurious ambiance and an array of dishes from many cultures made by our Executive Chef Chandra Swamy, an Indian National and Team. We offer dishes for all meal periods, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, with special buffets. While offer Continental and American style meals we also offer an array of meals specific to Guyana=ese Culture from Pastries to Appetizers, Main Courses and Desserts. Being luxurious, the atmosphere is ideal for business endeavors, but still offers a welcoming ambiance for all patrons for casual dates, anniversaries, birthdays. It also offers refreshing outdoor dining surrounded by nature and ocean breeze.

I made a reservation and received a confirmation email with my table number. I showed up at Terra Mare only to hear that online booking system is automatic and they don’t use it. I was told I had to call to make a reservation so basically my fiancé and I were left without a table, on her birthday! The entire restaurant was “booked out” and the staff at the front table told me they have space at the bar 😒. If the system is not functioning then remove it. Overall experience was terrible since it was a Saturday night and all the decent restaurants around Georgetown were booked out.

I've been a patron of this restaurant for years and I always commend the chefs and management for the lovely experience they display, however, my last experience was quite unpleasant, the waitress was rude and loud (as other diners were looking on) when I tried to query an order. I ended my lunch early and left feeling embarrassed and disappointed in the service. In my years of patronizing this establishment, I have never experienced this and I hope this isn't a turning point in customer service for this establishment. .

The food was not bad but they had limited options. I would like to have seen a wider selection and more Carribean/ Guyanese based options.

Chick peas curry lacked flavor, roti was leathery, chicken breast was good, pasta was good. The Aperol spritz was not well mixed

This is my 8th time here and I found it very disappointing as there was no attention by staff where I had to ask for drink tops to order food and the steak I ordered came to me cold. There is clearly a problem with this restaurant now it was never like this the past 7 times

We had a nice time. Food was good. Too many people for a holiday and the buffet line was long though. But the staff is really nice. Also, they don't take reservations for Sunday but they accommodated us because open table allowed us to book.

We were placed right under an ac unit and were feeling very cold. However my husband appreciated the special happy Birthday treat.

Great restaurant for special occasions. Food was a bit on the salty side, which was such a bummer! However, drinks were good as expected. Friendly waitresses which was a plus. Overall the service provided was fair. Looking forward to returning for brunch sometime in the near future.
