    Usually a great experience, this time we had to wait 30-minutes after our reservation, service was very friendly and polite but sparse (couldn’t get water refills for the life of us), and the food itself was not up to the usual quality. On the bright side, the crayons they now have for the kids are better than they used to be.

    It was a very quiet day in the restaurant without many guests. I requested seats in the green house on my reservation but we were seated in the front area. The server was nice but she didn’t write down our orders and completely forgot my brother’s food so he sat and waited while we all ate. Terrain is hit or miss these days and in general I feel like I’m bothering the desk when we check in.

    The vegetarian options were creative and varied. Our selections were delicious.

    Food and service was great! You really need to install a prominent sign saying what time you lock the gate on your property. After dinner, the other member of my dining party and I explored some of the immediate area and when I returned to retrieve my car, I was unable to drive off the property. I understand that you have valuable merchandise all over your outdoor garden center and need to protect it during off-hours, but you need to be crystal clear with your customers and cafe patrons that the gate will be locked after a certain hour and until the next morning. I love your cafe and shop, but this was an enormously frustrating experience to not be able to take my car home after dinner.

    Terrain was such a missed opportunity. Great ambience, local ingredients , interesting menu but the food was not prepared well at all. There was no taste. It felt like the chef didn’t bother or wasn’t concerned about what they were serving. The steak was ordered medium but was bloody. When we asked the server, she justified it. The scallops with pasta…had no taste. I had to get olive oil on the side to even make it palatable.

    We decided to eat outside which was a lovely garden setting. Such a beautiful evening! Our waitress Amanda was lovely, vivacious, attentive, and fun! The food was delicious as always. My scallops cooked to perfection and the pasta incredible. Greg’s pork tenderloin also done to perfection and sauce scrumptious. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that they still permit BYO with no corkage fee since that is still our preference even though they now have a full bar.

    We were disappointed in the service. We were one of two tables outside. We sat for about 10 or 15 minutes before I had to go inside and ask the hostess if our server could take care of us. The food, as usual was top drawer. However, it took away from our enjoyment to have to ask for service and wait so long to receive it.

    This was my second time dining at this establishment in the last two weeks. This time we had Amanda and she was excellent! The avocado toast was phenomenal as was the hibiscus tea.

    Our server ignored us until she walked by and we flagged her down. Our food was mediocre at best. My husband ordered scrambled eggs and crisp bacon. What came out was over cooked eggs and basically raw bacon. I ordered the frittata with hash. Hash to them is fried potato chunks. My frittata was so dry I couldn’t eat it. I love the store, the restaurant is overpriced and not worthy of its setting.
