    Refreshing restaurant bringing the outside in providing farm to table items.Healthy foods dominate the menu. Would prefer more sandwich choices but that's just my preference.

    Our server Queen was great. The food was delicious and a very nice atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back.

    We had a bit of trouble finding the place because we had to walk through a wedding photography session and a garden nursery, so better signage would be good. The place is lovely, like a conservatory, and very full of light and plants. We were early, so the noise level didn't pick up for a while, but then it got pretty jarring. Our server was great and gave a nice greeting and intro and helped us figure out our orders. Their gin & basil cocktail was delicious and not sweet, which would ruin a drink for me. My quinoa fritters came to me hot and very crispy, but there should have been a bit more sauce. Kale salad was huge, but was great, full of little bits of plums. My friend's mushroom soup was the smoothest texture of any mushroom soup I've had, and I've had loads. Great flavor, but it needed a bit of crunch, like crispy fried herbs or garlic, on top to make it perfect. He then had the chicken pot pie, which he said he wouldn't order again. After several attempts to get a spoon for his meal, he had to go to the front desk before he could really enjoy it. Another friend had the shrimp dish, which had abundant large shrimp on risotto and would be my first choice next time. We're eager to go back and maybe sit in the bar area, which lacks the airy atmosphere but seemed much quieter.

    Well, since you asked….. I was excited to experience this newish Terrain restaurant after having been a customer in Chadds Ford. Sadly, it was almost as disappointing. Our server was lovely. The food….meh. The cute flower pot bread is no longer baked in the flower pots and warm. It was dense, dry and stale and cold We ordered the quinoa fritters. They were rather bland. Bleh. We were still picking at them when our cauliflower sandwiches arrived and placed on the already crowded table. Nothing was cleared. The roll had barely a teaspoon of dressing on it. It took a long time to get a little bowl of extra sauce. By the time it came, the cauliflower was cold. (The cauliflower was quite tasty). The restaurant is very attractive, but the acoustics are terrible. It was so loud we had trouble hearing each other. Terrain used to be a fave. Sadly, it is crossed off the list.

    Staff was amazing and making sure all our food items were OK for some complicated food, allergies and celiac

    Service and ambience were excellent. Food was generally under seasoned and lacking in flavor. They informed us they had new staff in training in the kitchen, which may have explained this. Will try again in the future and hopefully the food will match the service and surroundings.

    Got seated quickly after arriving early for our reservation, was taken outside to a table in full sun, no one's fault, drinks came fast and we were enjoying. Our burgers were over cooked and came out with less than 12 fries on each plate, odd. Server disappeared and we needed syrup for kids and our burgers were well done. After waiting quite some time we asked the hostess if she could get our server. Not the servers fault as we expressed a few times we wanted our burgers medium rare. Needless to say, they were remade and sent out with only the burgers, not another handful of fries. For an 18 dollar burger that doesn't seem right. A round of drinks was sent instead and that was a nice gesture. When it was time to pay we could not find our server and again had to ask the hostess. Food was good after the burgers were cooked correctly. We ended up waiting 20 minutes just to pay our bill.

    Terrain has always been my most favorite spot for both food and ambience. This time, the food was disappointing with the harvest bowl lackluster and very dry, the poached eggs overcooked and the bread baked in a clay flowerpot very dry and stale tasting. This is the second time this season the food was not well prepared. I’m not sure why they’ve skipped.

    Terrain is a great restaurant! The setting is very pretty and the food and drinks are delicious! The AC was too cold, but they turned it down upon our request. Unfortunately, there were a lot of flies They need to address this problem, Maybe shut the door between the indoor and outdoor dining sections. We would definitely go back soon!
