Terra Moderna is an Antipodean, Modern Italian restaurant in Belsize Park. Open daily for lunch and dinner, the restaurant brings a combined taste of Italy and Australia to London. Terra Moderna's menu is carefully crafted to balance the flavours of Italian and Antipodean cooking. The restaurant take pride in their commitment of using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. With Antipodean cuisine being a main influence, the menu features an array of seafood, meat and plant-based produce, with an emphasis on bold flavours and vibrant colours. Terra Moderna is a place that not only offers an exceptional menu but also an interesting and delicious culinary experience. The service was above average, and the small yet intimate setting encourages connection and familiarity.

Excellent neighbourhood Italian restaurant that we thoroughly enjoyed. Great food, service and relaxed ambience was a perfect setting for a very enjoyable celebratory family meal. We will definitely be coming back.

I love having a friendly local restaurant with delicious home cooked food, all freshly made. Who needs the west end?

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The interior was well-coordinated, and the lighting was changed depending on the time of day to create a nice atmosphere. There were people there on dates, and people celebrating birthdays with their families, and it was a really nice restaurant.

We weren’t sure what to expect as it was our first time and it could’ve easily been another underwhelming Italian spot. The decor was ever so bland and/or dated but everything else blew us away. The Sazerac cocktail was made to perfection and our bottle of wine very solid value. We both had really delicious pastas, the pappardelle and the spaghettini. The highlight, though, was the service. The restaurant was full but expertly handled by two lovely ladies in the front and the chef in the kitchen. The manager paid extra special attention to our two year old daughter and took time to play with her and show her around in between taking care of other diners. We were able to fully relax. It was a truly exceptional experience. Don’t miss this neighborhood gem. We will be back!

The noise level was appalling and we could barely hear each other think. Place was packed and service was very slow. That said, the food was lovely and we could tell the kitchen was working very hard. Would definitely go again but perhaps not on a Saturday night.
