Terra Mare is a contemporary Italian restaurant & bar, inspired by Puglia. Located on High Street and brought to you by the team behind Silures Restaurant, Terra Mare is an authentic Italian dining experience, bringing the heart and soul of Italy right to your table.

Inspired by the vibrant flavours and time-honoured traditions of Puglia, our menu is a true journey through the classic Italian way of dining. From cicchetti (small snacks) to antipasti, primi piatti, secondi piatti, and finally dolce (desserts), Terra Mare invites you to savour each moment, every bite, and every sip. Food was fantastic as was the service, despite being a really busy night due to Valentines. We sat at the bar and had small plates - great food and ambience. Great selection of wines.

Worth the money for Valentine’s Day set meal! Would definitely come back for their a la carte menu!

I want to first start off with saying how amazing the staff was. It was my birthday and had a beautiful card waiting for me on the table. So thoughtful. The drinks 10/10 . The food 10/10 . I loved the vibe of the place. Perfect for dinner, great date night! The bar is stunning so you can just go in for a drink. I will definitely be going back. Worth every penny. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Great food but the service is lacking. We has a group booking at Terra Mare for a celebration. The food was great but overall the service was lacking and it felt like the goal was to simply make as much money as possible without regard for the actual service provided. They were pushy with upselling items on the menu or ordering more food/drinks throughout and we also had a nightmare trying to have a cake we had brought to the restaurant served at the end of the meal and had a very stroppy staff member who couldn't see past the 'company policy' because if we consumed the cake there, no one would be buying dessert and also because 'how would we make money if we just let everyone bring their own food into the restaurant'... lol. They wanted to charge £9 per person for us to consume the cake (which worked out at £81 for our 9 guests). Having already paid £80 for the cake, this is just ridiculous. As frequent visitors of nice restaurants this is just unheard of and most (clever) restaurants are happy for you to bring a cake for a celebration knowing you'll be spending a good amount on the rest of the meal with multiple courses / drinks etc. (which we did!!). Eventually we had the cake served but it was cut before it was brought out which is just silly (imagine having your birthday cake cut before you blow the candles out) and defeats the point of having a very nicely decorated cake... We also had a few delays / issues such as the wrong food being brought out, one guest having to wait for quite a while for their food whilst everyone else already had theirs, and items on the bill we hadn't ordered. Overall not very impressive which is a shame as the food is lovely. Would not recommend. We will not be returning.

Excellent food and service in this restaurant. This was my first experience in this venue, one i intend to repeat. The food was outstanding, and service impeccable.

This was our first visit to Terra Mare. We will certainly return. The food, service, and ambience was outstanding and the decor exquisite. I had the baked Alaska for dessert which was flambéd at the table - it was delicious.
