Using local ingredients with Italian influences, Terra is Eataly’s premium wood-burning grill restaurant located on the third floor of Eataly Silicon Valley. Named for “earth’ in Italian, Terra's menu features the season’s best ingredients cooked simply over open flames. Its food meant to be paired with an inventive botanical cocktail and enjoyed outside on our expansive shaded patio.

We hold the table for a grace period of 15 minutes before offering the reservation to our waitlist.
Parties of 7-10 people are required to make a deposit of $150.00 and parties of 11 or more, email esv-privatedining@eataly.com to secure the date.
There will be a $20 per person charge for no shows or cancellations without 48-hour notice.

    Brian, our waiter helped us make Some excellent choices: the fabulous Pinot Grigio accompanying the Tomahawk steak and broccolini; the roasted vegetables platter and the delicious Tiramisu. Everything was absolutely delicious & the service superb!

    Overall good atmosphere. The food was okay, my partner and I are vegetarian so I can’t speak for the meat options aside from the rest of our family seemed to like what they got. A bit of a mix up with our order or between servers possibly, we had 2 pasta dishes with meat and one spaghetti dish, but we got accidentally 2 spaghetti dishes and one of the pasta. We sent back the extra spaghetti and when our server checked back in the were told that we sent back the order as if it wasn’t to our liking, we explained the confusion and the kitchen and our server took care of it quickly and we were all happy and eating again. They were out of the 2 bottles of wine we had selected, but their sommelier recommended a good bottle comparable to our selections that was from the same area of Italy he was from, so that was a fun little touch. The dessert’s were definitely the star for us, with the tiramisu being the highlight for its unveiling!

    Pastas lacked flavor, salads delicious, crab cakes dry and over emulsified. Very expensive pastas.

    I've had better experiences at Terra in the past, but this time was a bit disappointing. We were seated late, and in front of an open door leading to the terrace, on a cold winter night. I asked that the door be closed, so they moved it an inch, said they needed ventilation and "is this ok?". If it was ok, we would not have asked. My colleague covered his head with is hoody, and were kind of cold the whole time. Our server was nice enough, though not terribly knowledgeable; in the past I've been impressed how well the staff were trained in the details of Italian cuisine - but not this time. The food was good - maybe not as good as I remembered, or perhaps my discomfort colored my perception. My guess is that Friday night is a bad time, when they are just too busy to keep up proper service. I like the food, so I'll try and come in quieter times in the future.

    One of our favorite places. We sat outside on the terrace, and although it was a chilly evening, we were quite comfortable.

    It’s bright and airy—if you like sitting in direct sunlight, definitely get a table outside! Excellent salads, especially the little gem and the insalata verde. Avoid ordering the chicken skewers. Unfortunately we did but sent them right back due to texture, quality, and taste. The cocktails are good! A little light on alcohol but for a lunch cocktail, that works.

    Our server was extremely inattentive. Much of our time spent was waiting or waving someone for help. Unfortunately this experience tainted my view on this restaurant.
