The Terminus has been part of the Fitzroy North community fabric for over 150 years and if our walls could talk, they would have many tales to tell. Our great Aussie pub has always been a special place in our community for families and friends to come together and enjoy good times, great food and great drinks and we're excited to be back open. Built in the mid 1800's, the Terminus provides multiple seating options from relaxed beer garden or on street dining, perfect for after work drinks and nibbles, to cozy and modern restaurant dining in our newly renovated dining room. We also offer a number of private functions spaces for every occasion.

The Terminus is an iconic pub on the fridge of North Fitzroy and Clifton Hill, only 15 mins from the CBD and is best known for our customer service, delicious steaks and modern dining menu. We also have a range of classic pub fare and plenty of options to suit all dietary requirements.

Some staff were warm, others quite cool in manner and atmosphere similar. Most disappointing aspect was the food. My steak was poor, the sauce thin and cool and the pizzas average. I don’t expect gourmet but with the prices and the fact that this was a rare night out, I was left really disappointed. I’ve dined at the terminus before and been so satisfied. This time it was just blah.

It was quite cold as the door kept opening, the pizza was very average. Not sure I would be racing back.

Another nice visit to the Termi - we are locals and enjoy the vibe. We brought my partner's mum with us for a meal - she and my partner are both coeliac and though the options were a bit limited, they both enjoyed their meals (steak and burger). Unfortunately his mum did have to get up and close the door multiple times throughout the night due to it being particularly cold and windy. No staff really seemed to notice. Would definitely look at fitting the door with an auto closing arm. Our food took over an hour (ordered at 19:17, arrived at 20:30) and a few tables seated after us were served first so maybe the order got lost. Would have appreciated better communication around this. All in all good food and good atmosphere, just a bit cold!

I used to love going to the Terminus. When I went there last night, I felt the food quality was not as good as it used to be. Ordered the duck dish, it was bland and boring. For something that is $28/29 it was disappointing. We sat outside, it was so cold I struggle to enjoy the ambience. I don’t think I will go back, sadly.

Hey Siri, Thank you for your review, we love hearing your feedback and will do our best to take it on board. We are sorry to hear that the duck salad was bland, we will definitely be passing that on to our chefs to see where we can improve the dish. We are trying hard to keep everyone warm on these cold Melbourne nights with heaters and blankets, we are looking at getting more heaters to ensure everyone stays warm and comfortable. Hopefully we will see you again to provide a better experience.

Table for 15 out in the beer garden which was understandable. We had some ordering and service issues and food was a bit staggered, but overall night was a good one.

We had a fantastic time at the Terminus. They were for very flexible and responsive with regard to our booking. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the space is great. Overall, the food was excellent - the arancini balls and porterhouse steak with red wine jus were particularly good, along with the cheese board. The only off note was the vegan coconut panna cotta, which was unpleasant and inedible, which was a real disappointment.

my schnitzel was dry the mushroom gravy was tasteless and it was find the mushroom, the salad hardly had any dressing my husband and son's burger was bland, it was basically meat and sauce there was no lettuce
