Tequila Val's is a new Mexican restaurant in East Dundee, Illinois. The restaurant is located in the former Anvil Club building, which has been completely renovated. The menu features a variety of Mexican dishes, including lamb shank birria, quesabirrias, tacos, burritos, and other dishes. The bar offers fresh margaritas, craft cocktails, and other spirits. Tequila Val’s is probably one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have been to. If you want “authentic and fresh” go to Tio Ramos in Dundee. My husband and I went on a slow Sunday night at 7:45pm. We ordered the shrimp cocktail to start and it was okay. The shrimp was of cheap quality (if you eat seafood you will notice the difference in quality. For dinner I had two tacos: Al Pastor and Asada. Both were horrible. The Al Pastor was greasy and dry at the same time. Steak was flavorless and dry. You know it’s bad when the table next us asked for salt. I will say the ambiance is nice and drinks looked good. The service was okay, he tried his best and it was fine but there was a handful of employees talking next to the bar when there’s only three tables and all are receiving bad service. The key lime pie was decent, not the best I’ve had but it will do. The chips and salsa were sadly the best thing we had. I would never come back truthfully. As someone whose husband is Mexican and eats real Mexican food frequently this place has a lot of work to do. Additionally, the lady who kept bringing out our food was not grabbing the empty dishes which was weird since there was no bus boy. Lack of service is very noticeable. This place will go downhill if changes aren’t made.

This was our third visit to Tequila Val's and as always the food was delicious; especially the guac, which was made tableside. The ambience in the bar area is lively and fun. Our waitress was amazing and knowledgeable! She was very busy; but checked in with us often and with a smile. A very enjoyable evening all around!

This wasn’t our first visit, but it was our first time having brunch here. The food was delicious! We also enjoyed mimosas and Bloody Mary drinks. They also offer full bar services during brunch. We will be back!

Tequila Val's is a solid Mexican restaurant. The table side Quacamole was probably the best item we had. If you're looking for true homemade Mex.... this probably isn't the place for you. The food was solid and the drinks we're very good. The restaurant is housed in an old historic building which makes the ambiance very nice.

Spent the Valentine’s Day. Good vibes and atmosphere, food was a little bland but that is expected as they’re prob serving folks that can’t handle heat. Will be back again for drinks and apps.

The food had so much flavor!! The service was top notch! We really enjoyed our time there. We did not feel rushed in any way! We'll be back!

We were there for a birthday and made a reservation staying there for a birthday. I also told the server and she said they will give her a dessert on the house but I was charged for it anyway. She was quite slow w getting drinks and being attentive but she was nice.

Great service! Love the table side Guac! Asada tacos were delicious & quesadilla was huge enough for 2 people.
