As the former Executive Chef at New York's Michelin starred tempura restaurant, Chikano, a skilled artisan, brings his expertise to Honolulu with a "Omakase" course menu starting at $160. He blends traditional Japanese techniques with seasonal seafood flown in from Toyosu, Tokyo, and local produce. The menu features tempura courses like Fleur de Sel Pepper Prawn, using "Hakata Salt" from Ehime and Hokkaido Scallop with Truffle Salt, followed by a savory shokuji course and refreshing dessert. < Our Seating Schedule > 1st Seating 5:00PM~ 2nd Seating 7:30PM~

My second time and the experience was great as the first time. Definitely reflects Japanese fine dining, and I will return before too long.

New “the must” on the island for sure. Definitely will revisit whenever I get a chance to go Hawaii again. I used to stick with @sushi, however this time they are temporarily closed, I booked Ichika without a “background check “. It turned out that ichika worth every penny.💓

This was an awesome dining experience. The highest quality ingredients with impeccable service. It was expensive, but one of those experiences I won't forget.

It is one of my best dining experiences ever and I had some incredible ones. The quality of the food is beyond compared. Service is excellent and clearly well trained as it is very consistent each time I have been here. What makes this omakase work is that everyone is having the same course at the same time. Chef is focused on one course at a time. This also contributes to the calmness of the place.

Excellent place for special occasion dining. The only place I know on Oahu that offers tempura omakase. Ingredients are mostly from Japan and flown in 2-3 times a week. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, inside the decor is simple, clean and elegant. The maximum seating is about 25 so you get a lot of personal service. It’s an expensive meal but good value if you want a unique dining experience.

Excellent value for 15 course omakase. Each course was delicious and highlighted the freshness and texture of the dish. Service is a bit green but attentive and managed well by the GM. A hidden gem worth repeating.

We had a wonderful meal at Tempura Ichika to celebrate our anniversary. The servers were attentive. The food was amazing. Parking wasn’t easy, so make sure to give yourself extra time.
