The food was exceptional, especially enjoyed the sautéed mushrooms. We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff was attentive and went out of their way to make the evening a special experience.

Food was incredible!! The atmosphere and the history drink and flower ceremony at the end of the meal is memorable and adds to the overall vibe of the restaurant, decor and food. Absolutely amazing and highly recommend!!!!

We were very excited to try Tenpest based on reviews. It was a disappointment. The cocktails were mediocre. Swordfish schnitzel and burger were good. Short rib was lackluster. With so many good restaurants in Charleston, this one is not worth the price.

This was one of the best, if not the best, restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and so clean. Our server Grace brought us a free glass of champagne for my birthday to start the dinner. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and all specials. The food was extremely fresh and flavored to perfection. Grace finished our experience by giving me a flower and us a free Brandy tasting. I could not be more impressed by this restaurant!

INCREDIBLE! We sat on the patio and our server, Ragan was amazing! The Sun Go Down cocktail is soo delicious and refreshing. The roasted oysters and shrimp are out of this world. The tuna crudo was perfect, a little heat but perfectly balanced. The tilefish with the warm tartar sauce and the caviar stole the show!! Can't forget the some more dessert, mind blowing! 10/10 one of my favorite restaurants, ever!

The restaurant is beautiful and maintained the elegance of the former church plus the added beauty of a painted glass ceiling designed, painted, and installed by a local artist. The food was unique with crafted sauces and attention to delicate flavors. They were very helpful with providing Gluten Fee options. Including the Honey Pot de Crème dessert with a glamorous appearance and taste. The service was attentive without hovering. Lovely surprises are in store at the end of the meal. A must experience in dining. ❤️❤️

We opted for the fixed price menu, and we were not disappointed. The oyster mushroom and tuna appetizers were incredible as were the flounder and pasta entrees. Tempest’s “traditional treat” before our awesome desserts was enjoyed and greatly appreciated.
