Beneath Broadwick Street you will find Soho’s original smokehouse. Known for meat, mezcal, tacos and good vibes, temper is centred around a giant fire pit, with a mix of counter dining to watch our chefs in action and leather booths for feasting.

Meat is bought in from English farms, aged in-house then butchered by our team and cooked over fire, served in corn tacos or on house-made parathas.

There’s also a legendary Sunday roast and Saturday bottomless brunch on offer, plus space for big groups and special occasions.

temper Soho is a fantastic venue right in the middle of the West End. Fire, steaks and cocktails take the lead on the menu and this smoky, sultry dining room with fire pit provides a unique backdrop for any occasion. Our private dining room offers privacy as well still feeling apart of all the action of the restaurant and open plan kitchen. It's a great space for a secret hideaway for up to 22 guests seated or 25 standing. Alternatively, for the ultimate experience, hire the entire restaurant for exclusive hire up to 150 guests. Our Group Feast Menus have been designed for larger groups, served family style to the tables for sharing, the temper way. Our Events Manager will work with you to create a bespoke event to your preferences, but with a twist!

Temper was a surprise! It looks like a pub but it was amazing fine dining! Steaks cooked to perfection! Tacos creative and delicious! The corn and potatoes sides were wonderful!

Poor quality meat content on the ribeye steak and the sirloin steak was grossly undercooked. By the time the sirloin mistake had been cooked to our liking the other members of the party had finished. No apology given until this was raised with the manager.

No meat left after we had order wine. Came to table and was told that there was meat on the bone. After 60 min we were told that the meat was out. Then the clock was 22. Poor communication, they could have told ut directly.

The food was really good overall. The stake was definitely the highlight, super tender and tasteful with sauces not even needed. The tacos were very good as well but a bit overpriced, the desert was worth every penny however! Our server was a bit slow and we had written that it was our friends birthday and our waiter didn’t do anything for him. It took quite a long while between the starters and the main but the place was packed so it’s understandable. Overall, we had a great time at Tempur, the food and ambiance was excellent.

It is a shame that you felt your service was not up to your expectations, occasionaly when we are packed as you say service can become a little slower. Had a table booked which surprised the staff, it took 10+ minutes of us waiting with no idea what was going on whilst they figured it out. Not a big deal but pretty annoying. Then took an hour for our food to arrive. Food was alright. Very expensive meal to not be wowed.
