temper Covent Garden is in-house butchered steaks, corn tacos and barbecued meats. Sit around the open kitchen and watch the chefs making your food or order cocktails from the central bar.

Situated on Mercer Walk, temper Covent Garden it is a great lunch and pre-theatre location, with dedicated menus for both and a spacious outdoor terrace to enjoy them on.

Larger parties of up to 24 can make use of the upstairs Feast Table or, for something more exclusive, private hire is available downstairs for up to 45 guests.

Please note we currently do not accept Open Table dining cheques.

temper Covent Garden is a fantastic venue right in the middle of Covent Garden, a short walk from Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road & Holborn Underground Station. Fire, steaks and gin take the lead on the menu and open plan kitchen and dining room with fire pit provides a unique backdrop for any occasion. Our private room, the Den, offers privacy as well still feeling apart of all the action of the restaurant. With a separate bar, it's a great space for up to 55 guests seated or standing. Or hire the entire restaurant for exclusive hire up to 100 guests. Our Group Feast Menus have been designed for larger groups, served family style to the tables for sharing, the temper way. Our Events Manager will work with you to create a bespoke event to your preferences, but with a twist!

We jumped on the Greatest Hits. A perfect combo. Inspired and delicious. The team were on fire, the steak unbeatable and the tacos are insanely tasty... after all, you are promised Meat Fire Tacos. And it never...gets...old. hurrah Temper. Thanks Temper.

Went as a group on Sunday night. The food was delicious, the margaritas were £5 and so good, and a mariachi band were playing, who were excellent. Best of all was our waitress whose name I didn’t get unfortunately. She was so enthusiastic, had a fantastic personality and really looked after us. We would go back again just for her!

Place is advertised as bbq, nothing about the food was quite a bbq, food was OK but was it worth £45 per person plus service? Not really, very basic and overpriced food. Service was good, our waiter was very nice and attentive. We could tell he was very busy but done his best to make this great experience. All in all not a bad place but if you looking for bbq restaurant I'd suggest going else where as this did not live up to the expectations.

Great experience overall, was a little disappointed as there was no steaks left on the lunch menu but this was the only issue. Very filling food and amazing to watch them cook it right in front of you. Lovely cocktails too.

Temper is a must visit place, the food is excellent and ideal for a sharing experience. Each dish is out of this world. The steak is optional, this visit we skipped ordering a steak, just had more of the ‘starter sharing dishes. This is a regular haunt for us.

Something new for Covent Garden, already offering a superb range of delicious food...but the addition of the Parrilla is genuinely EXCITING. It's such a phenomenal, spectacular and thrilling plate of food. Unbelievable value too... 1.15kg (approx) of varying meats (steak, pork chop, housemade beef and pork sausages, black pudding...plus signature level brisket) cooked to perfection, enriched with chimichurri, a glowing red pepper succulent melting provolone... oh, and a side salad and those brilliant BIG chips. It's AWESOME. The dish absolutely celebrates the BBQ philosophy...there's even a glowing coal underneath the 'plate' to keep it all warm and true to the moment of creation. It was evident watching that skilful team of chefs preparing the thing... that this was as exciting for them as it was for us at our ringside, counter-seat. Let the drama unfold. Memorable stuff indeed. Thanks Team.

We went for the pre show set menu. It was such a good value and every bite of tacos, steak and pudding was amazing. We especially enjoyed the burnt ends tacos and a steak. Service was quick , polite and efficient. We enjoyed everything.
