We enjoyed our dinner at the Teachers' Lounge on Friday night. The wait staff was attentive, and as teachers, we enjoyed all the little touches that reminded us of our classrooms. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food very much.

The service was great. Unfortunately in our party of 6 none of the food was very good. We had one good appetizer- the elote fries. We also ordered hummus which was bland and tasteless. Many entrees were overcooked. Salmon was under seasoned and very dry. Hot chicken sandwiches were burned. We won’t return.

We had a wonderful experience last night. Our server was fantastic. She made sure that the person with food allergies were taken care of.

A cute spot to grab a drink before a show. Cocktails were very good. Food was ok. Skip the chicken chop salad. Only a few crumbs of chicken. Bison meatloaf appetizers and French fries were good. Service was a bit slow, so we had to rush to get to the DCPA in time despite a 5:30 reservation. Cool to see the school building renovated into a hotel and restaurant.

Nicely decorated restaurant tucked in The Slate Hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we’d go again. It was a Monday so it wasn’t too busy. Our server Fern was very friendly and informative. We ordered the watermelon salad, chicken sandwich and steak. All were on point with the flavors. The slaw on the chicken sandwich was top notch. The steak had a slight char, cooked medium. The burrata and balsamic vinaigrette in the salad added a nice touch. There is a full bar on one side and plenty of lounging seats. For those with mobility issues, there is a ramp to enter the building, but you’ll have to ask for directions for the bathrooms. It’s on the floor below the restaurant and the fastest path are stairs.
