At Tavola, we’ve set a table for the whole family that is both welcoming and delicious. Located at BridgeWay Station, Mauldin’s new town center, Tavola is truly a feast for the eyes with its Italian countryside-inspired architecture and cuisine. Executive Chef Beau Owens delivers authentic, crave-worthy dishes with robust bowls of scratch-made pastas made daily, the best focaccia bread, small and shareable plates of arancini, classic meatballs, and clams oreganata plus the finest cuts of steaks, chops and seafood.

Food was delicious, better than expected and not cheap, but not too pricey. Kyle was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu offering great suggestions. Seating was a little crowded.

Great vibe and environment. Server was attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the spaghetti carbonara and the bolognese. Spaghetti was very good. Just what I expected. Bolognese lacked flavor and could have been better. We got the tirimisu for dessert and it was an interesting interpretation. Most would be used to a slab of it. This was much smaller and the flavors didn’t combine well. All in all the restaurant was ok. Will probably try again.

It's not bad. But it's not as good as I typically have at a 301 restaurant. The appetizer was Hand-Pulled Mozzarella D’ORO. Well plated, and this was delicious. It could have used a bit more sauce. The Chicken Parm with Alfredo House Pasta: The plate was beautiful. The chicken was perfectly cooked. But... also needed more sauce. The sauce appears more decorative than integrated into the dish. It is disappointing because what I had is of it was tasty. I'm not looking for it to swim in it, but it lacked presence compared to the size of the cutlet. The noodles were not that good at all. Noodles were a bit over, and the sauce wasn't up to par at all. A bit of complementary lemoncello to end the meal was a great touch and quite tasty. The service, however, was impeccable! The server did tell us that they were an Italian steakhouse, so maybe those would have been more impressive. Due to the service and atmosphere, we would likely try again with tempered expectations.

Very attractive restaurant and Matt gave outstanding service. Loved the pulled mozzarella appetizer but the chicken parmigiana was overcooked and needed more mozzarella and the side pasta lacked taste and needed more marinara.

I doubt we will be returning. Although Tavola is lovely, in a beautiful setting.. the food is subpar at best. Our waitress was personable, helpful and answered questions. We were four guests. Two of us ordered the focaccia, which was very good. Two of us also ordered what was listed on the menu as grilled romaine. A chopped salad arrived, and no where did I see a bit of charred lettuce. Two diners order the chicken Parmesan which they both said was dry and overcooked. One ordered the shrimp … and enjoyed it. I ordered a bowl of pasta fagioli. What arrived was a mushy bowl of overcooked pasta… there was literally no broth to speak of. I am not a complainer, but in this case I told our waiter I would really like some soup/broth in my bowl with my mushy and extremely overcooked pasta. My bowl was taken away and returned with a bowl of watery and tasteless broth. I didn’t finish it. My assessment is that this restaurant needs a more authentic Italian menu, and a chef who knows how to cook good Italian food. For me, this restaurant is “ one and done”

What a great new restaurant. Exceptional food, and service at a reasonable price. I had gnocchi with a lamb sauce that was spectacular. My wife had taglia that was just as good. My highest recommendations.
