VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's travels throughout Greece, where they gained a deep appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their journey, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market and now brings the flavors of Greek cuisine, along with world-renowned Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos, to the Western Suburbs with VIOLÍ, located in Oakbrook.

I really enjoyed my visit to Violi. The octopus and eggplant appetizers were incredible. The Hallibut was ok, the companion potato’s perfect though.

Our waitress was very helpful and provided us with some suggestions. We ordered the rice lemon soup which was delicious as well as the Beef tenderloin soulvlakia

We were happy with the food and service at Violi. Our server, Ashley, was fantastic. The gal who greeted and seated us was very friendly. The restaurant was pretty loud but we could still talk. The portions are a little small but it’s probably for the best! I’ll definitely go back!

My server was not as attentive I had to wait a very long time for him to return to the table to check in on us to order a second drink. I noticed he was more attentive to other tables around us though and it wasn’t until the very end where he lingered around our table cause he noticed we were finishing up and kept interrupting asking if everything is ok cause he was ready to flip the table to get a different group so I did not appreciate that and in return I gave him a very low tip. You must treat all tables with the same respect.

Very few dishes to choose from. We order the lobster pasta and it was good but warm to cold temperature. The restaurant was packed and music was so loud I could not hear my friend when she spoke. The music was fun but very loud. When we went to the bathroom, it was so dark we had to use the cellphone light. The switch was not functioning. While I was very excited to try this place I was also a bit disappointed at the overall experience. Not sure this is a place to come back to.

It was a very average meal with terrible service and extremely pricey in terms of the food quality.

The food was exquisite! From the appetizer, to the main course to the handcrafted cocktails. Absolutely delicious. The service was amazing. Did a wonderful job and was very attentive. And the owner Shawn even stopped by to wish us happy anniversary. Such a great experience.
