VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners, David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's, travels throughout Greece, where they acquired a newfound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their trip, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market neighborhood and now brings the Greek Cuisine and world renowned superstar Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos to the Western Suburbs.

I had a reservation for 6:30 pm on a Sunday. After we got seated, we waited 20 mins for anyone to even come to our table. It was a bus boy that came to get us water. I asked him to get our waiter. I saw bunch of them hanging out by the bar and it took me asking other waiters to get us ours, and finally after 15 more mins, we got someone. I had looked at the menu before going here & for a Greek place, the menu is very limited compared to other Greek restaurants. I thought this would be a Foo-Foo place & it turned out to exactly that. Food was blah. On a side note, besides us, there was also another family seated by us that got shoddy service & they lost it & talked to the Manager. For a Sunday evening, if the service was this shoddy, I cringe to think what it would be like on a Friday or a Saturday! I suppose I will never know as I will NEVER go back to this place! :) There are other authentic Greek places in the area with better menu and a far better service.

Early Sunday dinner and the restaurant had plenty of tables open. We sat in the covered patio and ordered appetizers and drinks. Old Fashioned was nice and smokey. Food came out on time. Service was very attentive and pleasant. The only snafu is the beef in the skewers were tough. It was definitely overcooked. Other than that, filet was cooked perfectly! Violi is one of our go-to destinations in the Oakbrook area.

I was celebrating my daughter’s 26 birthday, the food was amazing, I shared the fish (MP) with my friend and it was delicious. My brother doesn’t eat mushrooms but these mushrooms he devoured it. Ambiance was very nice, we sat at the terrace area and it was very pretty, loved the sparklers to celebrate the birthday.

A local birthday dinner and what a delightful spot. Much fancier than I expected for an Oakbrook Mall dining option. Modern take on classic Greek dishes. The bread and spreads was a delicious start to our meal. Best hummus I've tasted in a while. The moussaka was fantastic. Their take on gyros was interesting with shredded grilled lamb. Try the Aphrodite for a cocktail this summer...delightful and refreshing. Overall, great service and a wonderful meal.

First time trying. First off, Jenna our server was fantastic! To me, service is just as important as the food. Hummus was so creamy, and the Violi chopped salad was so refreshing on a humid day. We split a chicken and filet kabob, and both had so much flavor. My only little complaint was the meat was room temperature when it was brought out. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Sadly, the meal, particularly the special gyro was not good. Greasy. I didn't know what to expect, except great Greek food. This is not it. Dining room is beautiful.
