VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's travels throughout Greece, where they gained a deep appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their journey, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market and now brings the flavors of Greek cuisine, along with world-renowned Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos, to the Western Suburbs with VIOLÍ, located in Oakbrook.

The food was amazing, ambiance was nice except they make you mandatory participate in an experience where the lights get turned off and all the ladies are handed lit sparklers. I just wanted to hang with my friend and not do that. Also I made a reservation for 930 at a bar high top and the hostess was like it’s not ready and I don’t know when they’re leaving so I’ll text you when it’s ready…. Um what lol. Bartender though was attentive and food and drinks amazing

Waiter was well versed in all the menu items and made great recommendations. Food was delivered promptly and well prepared. We were 3 and shared the baked Bronzino, with a side it was plenty of food after an appetizer starter. I’d certainly go back.

This restaurant has so much potential for repeat family dining as well as a hotspot. There are some items that need to be removed because they are always a miss. The grilled octopus is consistently awful. The scallops are consistently cooked well but the sauce is so overpowering that it takes from the meat. The salads are sometime not fresh so I ask before we order to make sure the salad will be prepped fresh. The dessert items are not exciting. The restaurant should change it up a bit.

We dined there on a Sunday night and asked to be moved from main dining room to the patio due to the noise. Unfortunately we were also seated next to a very loud party of 4 on the patio and could barely hear our own conversation. Food was delicious- great recommendations from the waiter. We are both in our late 30’s so wasn’t an issue with our hearing or tolerance - just a very noisy restaurant.

Fabulous meal and excellent service. A beautiful restaurant but exceptionally loud. We could not have a conversation.

Great food, beautiful interior. Went on a Saturday evening. The crowd was a bit extra, felt like we were in the city. Difficult to have a conversation, but the food was thoroughly enjoyable and the waiter was very helpful,… despite the crowd.
