VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners, David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's, travels throughout Greece, where they acquired a newfound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their trip, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market neighborhood and now brings the Greek Cuisine and world renowned superstar Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos to the Western Suburbs.

Our dinner fell short of our expectations. It was our first time dining there. The octopus was excellent. Our main course gyros was unlike anything either of us have ever had. I was unable to chew or eat mine as it was dried and over cooked sitting in grease. I sent my back. My husband did try to eat his by dipping the meat in the butter and taziki sauce. He ate some of the meat before admitting defeat. We both left hungry.

We had a nice time for Valentines. My wife loved that they accommodated us even tho we were late due to the snowstorm. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! We had the tasting menu with a four course meal. Highly recommended for date night’s and anyone just looking for a good venue, with music and tasty food.

We had the Valentine’s day pre fixe meal. So very good! we chose grilled meatballs and grilled octopus. Both of us had the saganaki, which was a nice surprise on the menu. Beef tenderloin and seafood pasta were perfect. Ended with 2 dessert cakes. Fantastic as usual.

Great Valentine's Day menu. All the items on the special menu are available during the regular day. So, we'll be coming back.

this was my first time and also last time visit this restaurant. over all the food didn't taste good to me（personal option）. the pasta was too sweet to me， the chicken has no flavor， but the shrimp was too salty. and our server was not friendly and kept rushing us to order food which i didn't happy about it. and i was celebrating my birthday，the reception girl knew and say happy birthday to me she was so sweet and nice. but my server do nothing for my birthday and I'm kind of disappointed.

The hostess was a bit rude and didn’t smile or even acknowledge anyone really, but the rest of the staff were great. The hostess in red was sweet and stopped by with recommendations, but the other young girl wasn’t really welcoming. Our server and the bussers were great. Prices are phenomenal especially if you’re looking at doing the chicago menu. Food was amazing, and the restaurant was beautiful. I’d strongly recommend the horaki, the gyro, & the chocolate cake.

2/8/25 visit. The waiter was great. The food was phenomenal. Ambiance was also good. Drinks were great. Music loud but acceptable. The only issue I had was recent. We go there often … . When I called to let the hostess know i was running behind about 10-15 minutes and to let my party know as they would be there on time. My reservation was 6:15. My guest was there on time. The hostess started telling me about a later reservation after 8 pm and I said I’m just letting you know as a courtesy , and I didn’t understand what she was conveying. Because I knew there was a 15 minute window I’m allowed. The female host repeated the after 8 pm time. And I asked if she was cancelling my reservation as that is not what I wanted because my other party members would be there on time. The female hostess just hung up on me after I asked on the clarification. I thought it was the rudest thing anyone could do. Very unprofessional. I called back to be sure my reservation was not being cancelled. The gentleman host was very very pleasant professional and kind. He apologized for the female hostess and said my reservation is just fine. I would never hire someone as an employee that has no tolerance for questions and clarification. If she hangs up on people /customers often because she’s impatient or not tolerating of questions, I would not keep her as an employee. I own my own business and that’s not acceptable.

The patio is the place to be for dinner. Beautiful ambiance. Enjoyed the Hummus and charred Beets! Yum. The Branzino was one of best I’ve ever had. And the Lamb Shank fell off the bone. We finished with the Portokalopita, and was so wonderful! Gabriella was terrific!
