VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners, David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's, travels throughout Greece, where they acquired a newfound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their trip, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market neighborhood and now brings the Greek Cuisine and world renowned superstar Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos to the Western Suburbs.

Last night was a hot mess. While our server was certainly trying, all of the food came out very short of expectations. Salad was wilted and clearly prepared and dressed and sitting at room temp for hours. Scallops were so small quality was questionable. Meatballs were dry and lukewarm. The GYROS was TERRIBLE. If I wasnt among friends i would have sent it back. The zucchini and calamari were soggy and lukewarm.

Server was nice but not around much. Had to try and find her. My order was wrong. Had to wait for the CORRECT order. Service needs BIG IMPROVEMENT!

Great for a dinner with friends! Seafood was excellent. Wine solid.

The service at this place is outstanding. Food was also delicious. We recommend the grill octopus, grill meatballs and beef souvlaki.

Service, food, and ambiance never disappoint. Sitting out side is quieter but warmer, versus sitting inside is cooler but louder in the evenings with the music. For the suburbanite that I am, I find it a better option than sister restaurant Lyra in the city.

We were seated in the main dining room and the high noise level was unexpected and like a cacophony of loud sounds with continuous pounding music, people, and dishes. The ceiling is the problem I think with nothing to buffer the noise. That ruined it for us. Outside in the patio area may have been less noisy and certainly the atmosphere with the hanging garden is more pleasant. The service was good, though we had to ask for silverware and a sharp knife for our lamb chops. The crispy zuccini appetizer, chopped salad, lamb chops, lemon potatoes and dessert were very good. But I cannot put Violi in our top five best restaurants. For us, the servers and service needs to be a bit more polished. And maybe some sort of table cloths on the inside dining area would help.

Our waitress was attentive and food came out quickly but the food itself wasn’t very good and very expensive for what it was. Won’t return.

We had great food & excellent service! There were 9 of us and we were served in 90 minutes without being rushed. Table was cleared silently & hardly interrupted our conversation. Maria was efficient & personable! We enjoyed the experience beginning to end.
