VIOLÍ was initially inspired by DineAmic Hospitality Partners, David Rekhson and Lucas Stoioff's, travels throughout Greece, where they acquired a newfound appreciation for the natural Greek lifestyle. Following their trip, the hospitality group opened LÝRA in West Loop's Fulton Market neighborhood and now brings the Greek Cuisine and world renowned superstar Chef Partner Athinagoras Kostakos to the Western Suburbs.

Had a late lunch here Tuesday around 2pm. Made reservations just in case since it was so nice outside. Was seated by the manager who had a bubbly personality. Our server was Jacob. The good: ordered the Octopus, Greek fries, and baked feta appetizers along with a side car. The octopus was delicious and cut table side by another gentleman other than our waiter who was very prompt. Baked feta also delicious with the warm pitas served with it. Greek fries were great, lived the side of feta sauce with them. The bad: Side car did not come presented with a sugar rim which I am used to. My water glass was empty for a long period of time along with my cocktail glass. Could not find the waiter to order lunch in which he was no where to be found for about 15-20 mins minimum. Ended up telling the manager I needed water and a new cocktail. The experience left me and my guest to not order our entrees since service was absolutely terrible and also was not delivered by our waiter. There were 5 tables total of people. I enjoyed the food but it’s not good enough for terrible service. I ended up eating an entree at a sister restaurant within the distance of the mall.

We celebrated a bday here & were very happy with everything. Great ambience , awsome happy hour . Bar attender was very busy as he was making drinks & taking care of guests at bar & hightop. However , he was very hospitable & gave us a great expirience . He bought us a B'day dessert with sparklers . A big shout out to him. The buss boy was super friendly & funny too. The potatoes in the moussaka were a little undercooked. The meat ball , chicken & beef skewers were cooked perfectly. The caviar spread & pita bread were the best. Short rib pasta was phenominal & portions were huge. We will surely be coming back. Probably the best restaurent in Oak brook mall. Note to management , may be staff appropriately .

Some of the food was good, some was just ok. Sat at the bar, but unfortunately service was lacking. If we do return, we wouldn’t be in a rush to come back.

My wife and I went to VIOLI for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and we enjoyed the experience. We recommend the non-alcoholic wine for the drive home after a great dinner. We loved the food, from the appetizers to the main dishes, they have many vegetarian options.

We had such a wonderful experience at Violi mostly due to Ashley being such a wonderful server! She was great with the kids and very accommodating to our large party size and requests! She even cut our kids’ food! The food was amazing we loved the vibe. Thank you!!

I was disappointed that we had a reservation for a birthday made months in advance, and it took us almost twenty minutes to be seated. On top of that, it took another ten minutes for the waiter to come over and even acknowledge us. Overall, the food was delicious; however, the portions have shrunk incredibly since the opening. Bring back the larger portions!

The service was great we got our table immediately and the server was following on us during our dinner but the noise is really bad its really crowded and you can barely hear anything at all but the server did a great job and really quick too.
