   Starters and dessert were fantastic! Pasta was a bit disappointing. Pizzas on other tables looked great

   Best Roman food outside of Rome. Superb service and such a cosy interior. Get the Saltimbocca and the vanilla gelato… never tasted ice cream that good before!

   This restaurant had been recommended to me by a number of people and given how booked up it seemed to be at weekends, I was really looking forward to trying it. Sadly it proved a disappointing experience. We ordered the homemade focaccia with San Daniele ham & burrata to start - what arrived was a pizza base with ham & burrata on top, nice but not homemade focaccia and no acknowledgement from staff that this was not the item on the menu. After waiting c40mins post starters for mains (while other tables were all receiving food), we asked if they were coming & were told “2 minutes” but the slightly panicked looks staff exchanged told us that in fact they had been forgotten. After a lot longer than the promised “2 minutes” they finally arrived. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of a mistake, belatedly we were offered a glass of wine when we pointed out that given we had been waiting nearly an hour between our starters and our mains, our bottle of wine was finished. When the bill arrived I asked for service to be taken off (which in my opinion should have been done preemptively), the bill was taken away and we were waiting ages for a replacement even though they could have just brought the card machine and charged us the amount on the original bill ex service, eventually we grew tired of waiting so I just left cash on the table which covered the amount ex service and we walked out - surprise, surprise this was the quickest the staff had moved all day as they jumped to follow us thinking we had left without paying even though the cash was there on the table and if they’d actually paid any attention to us all afternoon they’d have seen it. So in short - we didn’t get the starter we ordered, the main took nearly an hour, and there was no acknowledgement that there had been a mistake or that the service was not what it should have been. Given this had been recommended to me by a number of people, maybe we were just unlucky but i won’t be back to find out.

    Always amazing! It's pur favourite Italian restaurant in London! They have the best carbonara ever, and everything we have tried it's so tasty!
