With appealing nightly specials and a tidy list of drinks, Tavern at the Armory provides a charming culinary experience. This neighborhood restaurant serves up traditional New England cuisine in a beautiful space. Helmed by Executive Chef Kyle Bates, the seasonal menu offers classic delights like braised short ribs, clam chowder, herb-encrusted salmon, and Angus beef burgers. Tavern at the Armory provides a nice backdrop for social luncheons – enjoy a meal next to the fireplace while savoring a cool beer. During the warmer months, the restaurant's space expands to include a beautiful courtyard. Tavern at the Armory is open for breakfast daily and dinner Tuesday - Saturday.

                                                                          Never been before thought we’d give it a try. Don’t think the reservation was really necessary but the dining area was very clean and welcoming. The server, Lisa, was a super sweet and attentive. Helped make recommendations and substitutions as requested. The food was great. Spinach salad was a nice taste of summer with berries and goat cheese. I had the steak which was cooked as requested. The veggies were were also tender crisp and not covered in oil or butter. Definitely recommend this spot. Lisa was a true delight as a server and we had a great time with her.

                                                                          food and service were excellent. The waitress was cheerful and very friendly. We never felt rushed, her timing was excellent. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend the Armory

                                                                          This was our second time at The Tavern for dinner and it did not disappoint. We ordered a burger with sweet (yum) potato fries and a Caesar salad with perfectly cooked salmon. I love the historic feel of the restaurant and like that it’s at the less busy end of Main Street. And, our server Darcy was great! We shall return!

                                                                          We arrived early for our reservation and were greeted warmly and offered a seat at the bar while waiting. I enjoyed a blackberry spritz that was delicious. My husband had an old fashioned that was one of the best he has ever had. The bartender, Lisa, took care of everything and was a wonderful host. I had the braised short ribs that were very tasty and my husband had the pasta dish and said it was good.

                                                                          Very nice place but there’s really not much to choose as far as food menu wasn’t really anything other than burgers and fries for my kids and they didn’t even eat it the people were friendly and polite in my opinion this place isn’t for anyone with kids

                                                                          We were first-time diners at the Tavern and it was a great first impression of the restaurant. Our two entrees were excellent (NY Strip and short ribs) and we're looking forward to trying other menu items. Our server, Darcy, was the best! What a beautiful hotel lobby!

                                                                          Weirdly bright but sad looking. Almost no one there. I hadn’t been there since way before Covid, and since then they’ve removed the wall between the bar and the dining room with the fireplace, which used to be very cozy, but is now kind of like a small convention room in a chain hotel. The lights are way too bright. The short ribs were pretty good, but my mashed potatoes were cold, not even lukewarm. The waitress was overly friendly and somewhat intrusive.

                                                                          There was only one person working in the entire restaurant and bar! She did her absolute best but it was ridiculous that she was all alone. The food marginal at best.
