Le Tavern & Grocery propose des provisions et un instant de détente, pour les locaux comme pour les visiteurs. Occupant une ancienne pension rénovée du XIXe siècle, il sert des plats classiques de taverne avec une touche de modernité. Confectionnés avec soin pour rendre hommage aux classiques, les plats proposés ont un goût de terroir qui rappelle l'enfance. À partir de 11h, le brunch du dimanche est à ne pas manquer, avec ses plats d'inspiration française et ses étonnants cocktails Bloody Mary. Notre bar se concentre sur les vins, dont nous proposons les meilleures variétés servies au verre pour la plupart. Nous vous proposons également des cocktails classiques et des bières qui raviront même les plus connaisseurs.

With the exception of the service, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our server never checked back to see if we needed anything more to drink, delivered our food to another table before getting it to us and delivered another table's food to us. We waited forever for our desert and had to ask for our check after another long wait. The host did his best to resolve our issues and I'm prepared to write the service off to an inexperienced or poorly prepared server as other servers seemed to be just fine.

The food was lack of flavor. When leaving at the entrance, there was an unpleasant smell as septic tank.

We were excited to go to Tavern and Grocery for date night and went thinking it was restaurant week which was definitely our fault, but when we ask for the restaurant week menu our waitress said that we can use the menu online which reinforced our belief that it was restaurant week. Food was okay but the service overall took over 3 hours and around 30 minutes to get the check despite asking two different people. Other tables were getting up and leaving throughout the meal. When we got the check and saw the items all separated, we ask about it still thinking it was restaurant week, and they took the check into the back. When the person came back out (not our waitress) 5 minutes later and she was very patronizing and condescending toward us about thinking it was restaurant week. I hate being that person who complains about it all but overall it was just not a good restaurant experience, unfortunately, and I don’t think we’ll go back.

Great atmosphere and food. Service was excellent. Live music at brunch was also excellent but a tad loud for conversation. Always look forward to experiencing T&G when I’m visiting Charlottesville and it never disappoints.

They were short staffed, so our entrees took over an hour to arrive. Drinks are delicious. Staff were clearly overwhelmed. I was here in August and had a great experience, so hopefully it was just an off day.

The service unfortunately was not good at all. We waited to long for our drinks and food. Server never came and check on us. We never felt welcome. Food was good. It was a special dinner with my girlfriends. Don’t know if we would come back.
