The outside seating is either close to the restaurant (good) or over the pavement near the road and in my case next to the bins. I had the Elin deal - two meze, a main and a drink (from a limited selection). The meze was quite small portions for the money. And the main the Kalamar was disappointing - very little flavor and as the sweet and sour sauce was oddly served already poured over the battered squid rings the rings were soggy. Then the an “optional” 13.5% service charge was automatically added as I was given the card machine. All in all not a great experience. Though the serving staff were friendly and the food was quick out just not that good.

The 13.5% service charge is indeed optional, this is noted on our menus for transparency, and can be removed if requested. We apologize for your seating issue but we do not place bins next to our tables, but we could have promptly relocated you to a more comfortable spot if you had let us know. The Ekin set menu is printed and it includes detailed options and selections; sorry if this wasn't clear. We've noted your comments on the Kalamar and will address this with our chefs. Whilst I have no complaint about the food - pretty good - or the service ( though it was a little on the slow side but we were not in a hurry) the meal was expensive. This was largely on account of a hefty service charge of 12.5%. A very basic bottle of Turkish wine , which was OK, is £26.95 and a service charge brings it to over £30. It’s a nice setting and handy for local theatres ( 10% off your meal if you have a theatre ticket for that night) and it was pleasant to sit outside on a warm evening. But nearly £40 each ( after the discount) for one course and a bottle of wine between two is not cheap. It’s London I guess!

Very nice evening, with good service. Food was lovely and the mixed menu meant we had genuinely really varied things to enjoy. Nice atmosphere in a handy, lively area very close to Waterloo.

Tas used to be very well priced but this is not really the case any longer and therefore the restaurant at lunchtime was 90pc empty. This has never been the case when we have visited it in the past several years. Everything else was good

First time for a long time in coming to one of the TAS restaurants. At one stage I pretty much lived off their delicious lentil soup. Portions are generous, food is good and swiftly served.

Staff is nice and helpful. The food was really disappointing, portions are ok, but the quality of meat and the taste is really poor. Bread was days old and hard as a stone. Wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Been to a few Tas restaurants over the years including this one previously. Food was very good but the service this time was really poor, took a long time, meals came at different times, staff didn't seem to know what we had ordered with more than one server waiting on us. They were very polite just not efficient.

We've been to Tas many times before and enjoyed it. But we won't be returning. The food was overcooked and tasteless. And very expensive for a simple meal. So dissapointing.

We'd never been before. They were very busy when we left but we arrived at 5.45 . Open kitchen staff in view (always a good sign). They were working so hard. Food delicious and fresh. House wine very nice. Airy and light as the whole street facing side is glass doors which clearly would be open on warm evenings.

The service was really bad. I had to ask for courses to be brought, for the table to be cleared, for the bill etc. The guy was REALLY not interested in us at all! And whilst the mezze were ok the mains were bad. It's not my first time there but definitely the worst time. I shall never go again.
