Since 2022, Tartuca has been a quintessential Pacific Northwest restaurant, contextualizing its hyper-local, farm-direct produce through an Italian lens on the active strip of Mississippi Avenue in North Portland. Tartuca has formed partnerships with local farmers and respects their soulful work by treating their produce as simply as possible, letting the quality of the ingredients shine above all else. Inside Tartuca is a hip, bustling environment powered by a grooving soundtrack and abundantly flowing wine from a tightly curated All-Italian list that exclusively features small, artisanal producers making wine naturally from organic and biodynamically farmed vineyards, often from over-looked regions. Fantastic food and ambiance. Great for couples date night or for a birthday get together with a larger group. The people here are very attentive and professional. I will go back here as soon as I can.

We’ve eaten here many times. My octogenarian parents were visiting from the East Coast and really enjoyed the food. Our daughter who is very selective loved it. Three generations all had a good experience. I’d call that a win.
